Dr. Elizabeth Padmini Eddy-Bertrand, MD

I have been coming to Dr. Eddy-Bertrand for several years. She is an excellent doctor. She is extremely caring, patient, and really concerned about effective patient care. She is always accommodating my needs and is willing to take the time to answer any of my questions. She is also a great humanitarian - compassionate and warm-hearted. The best bedside manner there is. I wish all doctors were like her. When I leave her office, I feel that my healthcare concerns and well-being have been completely addressed. I simply adore her.

Some staff member is very rude, incompetent and unapologetic. Multiple people there gave me the wrong information resulting in unexpected bills. They did nothing to fix that.

Went for my annual check up this year, and despite being very hesitant and worried about it since last year I felt it wasn't the best experience--- I was pleasantly suprised! Last year they didn't have anything to measure my height, which I thought was weird. This year they didn't initially measure my height again, so I asked if they could measure it, explaining that last year their machine was broken so it didn't get done. The lady kindly measured me. Dr. Eddy Bertrand was nice. I did think the visit was short, but she was nice and didn't seem curt or in a hurry. Last year she asked me about my religion the first time U saw her, and it seemed like it was a prostilitizing way as opposed to wanting to know for maybe my medical preferences if I were a Johovah's Witness or something and my religion would then affect my treatment--- it was more like she was wanting to know in order to talk to me about it and get me interested in religion. This was so strange and I had read before that… she did this to other people, so I was nervous coming back this year because I did not want to deal with that again. However, she didn't mention religion at all! I was very grateful and relieved for that and it made my visit this time SO much better. The women at the front desk were very nice and helpful and so was Kelly who helped me with filling my prescription with Riteaid. What was NOT nice, was that I was told to go downstairs to the Labcorp facility to get my urine sample and bloodwork tested, and when I went down there they told me at the desk that I had to be fasting in order to take my test! I was FURIOUS because I had eaten breakfast that morning on purpose because I thought my blood sugar would be low and mess up my bloodwork otherwise--- so if someone would have told me to fast when they called the day before to confirm my doctor's appointment, I totally could have done that. After having it out with the Labcorp people, they called my doctor to see if I could get the test done without fasting. Doctor said I should fast. Angry, I went back upstairs to the doctor's office and waited around for a minute to speak with Dr. Eddy. She was very nice and explained that because some girl fasted and then fainted and cracked her head open, it was a liability thing to tell people to fast---- that sounds ridiculous to me that they can't even suggest doing it since it is REQUIRED to do your annual check up tests... but whatever, at least the doctor was nice about it. All the ladies there were nice and helpful to me, despite me being upset--- even the people at the labcorp facility were nice even though I was very angry. Kelly was extra helpful and not only had called in my prescription for me, but she printed off for me pages where labcorp locations are so I could schedule another appointment to go in after fasting. I really appreciated all their help! They give you an opportunity to sign up online so you can get your test results quickly, however I thought it was really great that they also mailed out the results as well, because the cards they mail you have what is considered normal compared to your results-- online it didn't provide any info to compare your results to, so I didn't know how my levels compared to what was normal. Also they validate parking in the parking deck behind the building

Be aware - the office is only open M-F 9-5, and they take a two hour lunch 12-2. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE for anyone with a job to have an appointment even remotely convenient.

Dr. Eddy was my family doctor for many years, and would still be if it weren't for insurance changes. She was my doctor for at least 10 years, maybe longer and we absolutely loved her, still do. She was not only our doctor, but also a true friend. She is and was very knowledgeable in her practice and got me through some hairy times with my health. If I could go back to her I would in a flash. She takes the time to get to know you and your problems, and isn't afraid to tell you the facts of life. She spends all the time with you that is necessary to get you treated, and treated right. I give her a five star rating.

I am so disappointed in Dr. Eddy-Bertrand's office. She came highly recommended by a friend of mine, so I was very excited to go to a new doctor who I was sure would be great - especially when my doctor of years retired. What a let down. Do not go to this office. The Doctor has a very nice bedside manner and seems very friendly, but if you need help, a call back, a response or decent medical care - forget it. I don't know if the problem is the Doctor or the absolutely inefficient office staff. Their communication is horrible. They do not call back at all if you leave a message or need help. They seem to have attitude when you do call. My husband was in a car accident and has been dealing with severe pain issues for quite some time. It has only gotten worse since he went to the office. When he needed a prescription refilled and it was declined, the office never called to let him know what had happened. He has had the most awful experience, and it seems like the Doctor is either… too busy or the office staff is too apathetic to do anything to help. The communication there is hideous. I would never recommend Dr. Eddy-Bertrand.

Have been going to Dr. Eddy for about 14 years and she continues to be a wonderful doctor. She's caring, kind, takes the time to listen to you, will tell you when you're not being realistic, is just a terrific person.

I love Dr. eddy she is so caring and pays extra attention to your needs.

Dr eddy is the best DR ever. I would reccomend her to any family or friends.
