Dr. Elizabeth Manios, MD

She seems nice until you question her decisions and try to ask her to explain her reasoning. Wanted a pass that would help with my disability and improve my quality of life and she refused and said it made her uncomfortable. Her being comfortable is not of importance, the patients comfort should be the main priority. When I asked her why she couldn't explain, got flustered and stormed out of the room. Leaving me alone without any clue of what was happening. I had to leave the room to ask a nurse if she was coming back or not. Instead of helping me with my concerns, she had her nurse recommend behavior therapy. I have never once at all in all my years have ever mentioned my mental health to a doctor so I am not sure why she recommended this. Is it because I had the audacity to question her? I felt so uncomfortable myself now and discriminated against. If you have any complicated ongoing medical conditions that need actual care, find another doctor because she does not know what she is… doing.

Maybe she was more attentive ten years ago but since my internist has retired a neighbor recommended Manios. She needs to hit the books again because the new med she prescribed has contraindications based on a pre existing condition and a med I’ve been on for five years. The pharmacy alerted me. It also takes her a minimum of 5 days to reply to emails. She’s just not paying attention. I am very thorough in my emails because I recognize I’m one patient of at least 150. Needless to say I’m looking for a new internist. I was also told that the North Hollywood location is not shall we say the cream of the crop. Clearly she’s not. Run.

When I first came to Dr. Manios I was a healthy woman, in 2 short years my condition deteriorated. By listening to me, she ordered tests that changed my life forever, turns out I have a rare autoimmune disease that affects my quality of life. I was diagnosed within 2 months, as opposed to years and years like many people who have the same disease. She listened to me and referred me to an appropriate specialist, and I am thankful for that.

This doctor is the best of the best. Became a doctor for all the right reasons. She is genuinely compassionate. If she can't solve the problem easily she will keep looking until she can. I would not trade her.

One of the best doctors in the field. She genuinely cares for my well being and takes the time needed with me in my ongoing, chronic health issues. For over ten years I had been undiagnosed/misdiagnosed by numerous doctors for my chronic inflammation and infections, and my health continued to deteriorate. As soon as I started seeing Dr. Manios, she genuinely listened. I went through extensive tests to uncover my condition that required surgery. My quality of life has improved, because she took me seriously and diagnosed me properly. She continues to treat me with my other conditions because of the confidence I have in her abilities.

Dr. Elizabeth Manios is very unprofessional and refuses to listen to my medical issues. She's a horrid doctor who does not wish to assist with any major medical issues. Also, you will know the difference after going to good doctors on the West Side then coming to her-- she's not up to date with her knowledge on medicine.
