Called in to get an urgent appointment for a rash, I was told the fist appointment available is in 3 months. I booked the appointment. They called me 2 days before the appointment and they asked if I still had the rash, I said no but I'll come in since I made an appointment. I asked if I could push it to a later date and they said the first available appointment will be within another 3 months. So I decided to leave work and go on the same day. While I was filling up the paperwork, a patient called and asked for an appointment next week. I could hear the receptionist saying I can put in at 8:30 in the morning and they booked an appointment for her. so I went to the receptionist and asked her, it seems that you can squeeze people in on short notice but in my case that didn't happen 3 months ago when I called for an urgent visit. She "Courtney" said it's because the patient who called is not a new patient. New patients don't have priority on schedule opposed to a patient that had came… here before. I was fuming. I was filling my paper work and I gave it back to her and told her I will not be seeing the dr. if you don't have the courtesy to squeeze me in when it was really an urgent matter 3 months ago then how do U expect me to trust this place. It's all about businesses them not about patients needing a cure. This place has no manners or ethics. I would not recommend this place for new patients. You are just a number to them. Nothing more.

Dr.McBurney is an amazing well educated dermatologist. She's above and beyond when it comes to dermatology. I was referred to her by three different dermatologist in Baton Rouge because they did not know what to do. After hearing her name numerous times I decided to go to the one that was so highly respected. I drive 1.5 hrs each way. Only because I know she's the best around. She's very thorough, and takes each situation seriously. I truly believe she has every patient's best interest, and gives her 110%.

I've been here an hour and they still haven't seen me. EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL of patients time.

Dr. Mc Burney has been a blessing to me. Over a decade ago I was diagnosed with CTL. Dr. Mc Burney back then was rated by every doctor I know as the expert in this field. Well she has proven that "Time and Time Again". She is very thorough and she is one of the most genuine doctors you will ever find. although my Cutaneous T-Cell lymphoma has progressed to another stage there is no doubt in my mind that I have the best of the best looking after me.
