Dr. Elizabeth Robin Nye, MD

Dr. Nye is very knowledgeable, extremely professional as well as compassionate. She has been my Doctor since 1997 and has great bedside manner. I would highly recommend her & her practice.

Dr. Nye dismissed my health concerns. I expressed concerns of endometriosis and she was not proactive with my care. I was so disappointed with my experience.

To all expectant mothers, unless you want a "necessary" c-section other than a vaginal birth, please avoid this center. Dr. Nye will tell you that because you are petite you cannot deliver the baby vaginally because of your size and will give you a time frame to deliver while you are in labor which is usually less than 10 hours otherwise she will have to perform c-section. Avoid being scarred for life based on what is easier for her versus what is best for the mom to be and the child to be born

I'm sure for some, Dr. Nye is an excellent doctor. But her wait times are ridiculous. Expect to be at least 30-60 mins late. And I typically get the first, second or third appt of the day (those poor women with afternoon appts). I basically have to take a 1/2 day off of work--which don't tell her this like I did bc she'll say (to this effect) she's invested in your health so you should too. A tad condescending and defensive. I am invested (why else would I be there?). The point is my job which I get limited days off, is how I can afford the healthcare to come to her for a procedure. But I feel like she doesn't really want to listen.

Use to be better. She did not address my direct question about my care and was diamissive. I've had ultrasounds in her office for yearss, I just found out she has never seen my ovaries because of obstruction and I've been had complaints that may be relevant. She aksi needs to learn the laws of HIPPA. Time to move on.

Wait time is ridiculous! I only met the doctor once before she delivered. Wouldn't recommend!

I've been a patient of Dr. Nye since 1997. She is a well experienced professional who has always provided me with wonderful service. She's performed two surgeries on me with outstanding results. Moreover, she explains in depth about each procedure, risks, complications, etc. She has a great approach and make you feel like you are her only patient.I recently met one of her other partners, Dr. Ray, as she delivered my great niece. She, too, was very professional and the delivery went very well.If the question is do you have to wait sometimes in her office, the answer will be yes. However, I am willing to wait for good service and that is what Nye & Partners is all about. I will definitely recommend this Dr's office. Thanks Dr. Nye!!!!

I LOVE THIS DOCTOR...

I've been a patient of Dr. Nye for the past 3 years at the Michigan Ave. Office. I've always had issue with the staff being a short and unhelpful but this last episode involves everyone. This is only some of what :After my last exam they forgot to give me the prescription for my yearly mammogram. I didn't realize till I got home when I look through the papers I was given. They did mail it out.5 weeks later I had a bloody discharge from my nipple. My mammogram was already scheduled the next day but still wanted to talk to Dr. Nye. The staff was a little rude when I called and a bit put off that I wanted to talk to Dr. Nye instead of the nurse practitioner. I called Dr. Nye's other office and left a message early in the morning. In the afternoon I called again only to find out that she had never received the message. Dr. Nye did call back and upgraded my mammogram to a diagnostic through fax and told me that I needed to see a breast surgeon. She said it was probably a papilloma. The… during the diagnostic mammogram/ultra sound the technician noticed how I had a large hard mass in my breast. Not sure how Dr. Nye missed this only 5 weeks ago.5 days later Dr. Nye's office leaves a message that I need a biopsy I should call the office. (great message to leave huh!)on my cell phone. Oddly enough 5 weeks ago I removed my cell phone from the contact numbers because I get little reception at home. I had to go up against the window to hear the message. When I called back they tell me Dr. Richards has signed the request for the biopsy. Well I have never even spoken to this doctor and I already had an appointment with the surgeon. Obviously no checked or Dr. Nye never wrote that I spoke with her the day before the mammogram. When I first called this person actually cut me off and said "Well Dr. Nye isn't a breast specialist."and still no one explained to me what the mammogram/ultra sound report said and why I need a BIOPSY! My visit to the surgeon was scheduled 2 weeks after the mammogram.The office did not send all the reports to my surgeon. When I called back to have them send the rest the staff member actually asked me if I had asked for all 3 years to be sent like I'm supposed to know what the surgeon needs!Well it ends up I have a large mass that is pretty much assumed to be breast cancer. I have had my biopsy but this is to only confirm the radiologist and surgeon diagnosis. I should be getting my results in a few days basically to find out what stage etc. I'm willing to bet that Dr. Nye has never looked/seen the results of my mammogram. Talk about impersonal! This is when you need to talk to a Doctor. Maybe she's embarrassed that she missed such a big mass on my breast during my yearly exam. How do you let your staff tell your patient news like this!Bottom line is I feel Dr. Nye is spread too thin and more be more concerned with building her resume/practice than actual patient care. Staff is clueless. I get the feeling that as far as she's concerned I'm the surgeon's patient not hers. I am not going back other than to pick up my records or drop off a letter that states what I have stated here.

I was completely dissatisfied with my experience at this office. I received conflicting and contradictory information from Dr. Nye on different visits. She explicitly told me not to see other doctors in the practice which certainly didn't inspire confidence in her practice and clearly conveyed a lack of trust and teamwork among the doctors. Then, when she returned a call and I wasn't home, my husband shared with her my frustration that it took so long for a nurse to respond to my call. She responded by calling me the next day, telling me that I had to find a new doctor since I was apparently unhappy with her services! I gladly did.
