Dr. Elizabeth Kim Plocher, MD

I love Dr Plocher and I just can't believe the negative reviews. She is friendly, down to earth and knows her stuff. I can only assume that the negative reviews are from folks just looking for pain medicine, as she is a no-nonsense professional.

I have seen her at least 3 times and she is always very kind. She explains everything very clearly. She knows her stuff. Very helpful. I highly recommend her!

I am 81 years old and I was hesitant about seeing a specialist. I just want everyone to know that I had a Wonderful experience. She was so down to earth, so understanding and very knowledgeable. She explained my condition to me and I was so relieved just knowing that I was in good hands. . She had me rest assured that she would be able to help me. And afterwards she wanted to know if I had any questions. I am so glad that I went to her.

I have many dealings with her over the course of several years. She can come across as stern or non-caring. But that is far from the truth. She wants the best for her patients and gives her best. I would recommend her to anyone with hand, wrist and elbow issues. She lets you know what is going on and what she will be doing. She encourages you to ask questions about your treatment.

At first, Plocher seemed very kind and optimistic about surgery and scheduled in fairly quickly. Day of surgery, Plocher had multiple patients in front of me and my surgery started roughly four and a half hours late, a red flag considering the surgery was for nerves and tendons and a focused and clear mind was definitely needed. Following surgery, Plocher refused to prescribe pain medication or refer to another doctor for access to medication. Plocher referred me to an OT 1.5hrs from where I live, knowing that the commute was impossible for me. When I missed my first OT appointment and met with Plocher, Plocher proceeded to berate me and told me that it was “my fault my hand will never work again” and put me back into a bound splint, which two therapists have agreed delayed my recovery and possibly decreased how much use I can fully regain. Upon meeting with Plocher again and expressing concerns for limited range of motion, Plocher stated that I had ruptured the repaired tendons and… that it was my fault for moving too much too quickly even after previously being told by therapy that healing was far enough along that that was not possible, and that there was nothing that she could do to help, even though my hand had been bound and unable to move for three full weeks following surgery. Seems as though there was an issue caused by her that she doesn’t want to own up to. Plocher acts as a bully to her patients, as verified through other reviews and in person discussions with other patients, and I would never recommend someone to see her.

I would select a zero if possible. Doesn’t treat you as a human being. Belittles you, has an attitude and isn’t genuinely concerned about one’s concerns. Felt as a number and not a patient. Do not recommend.

WORST SURGEON EVER!!!! TREATED MY DAUGHTER LIKE SHE WAS CRAZY AND OUT OF PAIN MEDS... AND THE DAY OF SURGERY WENT IN AND TOLD HER THAT EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS DOING THE SURGERY SHE WOULD NEVER USE HER HAND AGAIN!!!! WHAT KIND OF SURGEON DOES THAT !!!° AND NOW AFTER ITS ALL SAID AND DONE SHE HAS STOPPED MY DAUGHTERS THEROPY BECAUSE SHE WENT AGAINST HER SAY SO AND TRANSFORED TO A THERAPIST CLOSER TO HOME... HOW DO OSF CONTINUE TO EMPLOY SUCH A HORRIBLE PERSON LIKE HER IS BESIDE ME !!!! DO THEY NOT SEE ALL THESE HORRIBLE REVIEWS, SHE IS NOT A VERY GOOD PERSON PERIOD !!!!! WE WILL BE SEEKING FURTHER LEGAL ACTION, THIS HERE IS UNETHICAL TO ANY HUMAN BEING RIGHTS. THIS WOMEN SHOULD NOT BE A SURGEON WHAT SO EVER !!!!!!!! SRRY NOT SRRY

Only giving one star because you HAVE to choose at least one. Does not deserve even one star. This lady walks around like she's god......oh god! AWEFUL!

Lies. An obvious attempt to cover her tracks. Her notes were almost completely fabricated. For a poor excuse of a Dr. who wouldn't 'allow' me to talk, she sure had a lot to write about. On top of that, actual, hard facts were not input even near correctly, such as which extremity was injured, for one example. Her mind is elsewhere, and her arrogance spews.

Condescending, which then means obviously rude, treated me as if I was 8, 6, or 12, (but I would never talk to my kids that way and never have!) Wouldn't let me explain how I fell, or where it hurt, wouldn't let me show how my wrist wouldn't move, presumed out loud to me that work must be fine and all I am there for is pain-which then means she is making me a drug seeker. I wasn't permitted to say I wanted follow up care to be sure my wrist would heal quickly, and not take a whole year like my elbow for which I didn't seek medical advice. Required me to take her brace in order to schedule MRI but then canceled my MRI after she found out I called to complain. Do not go to her.
