DISAPPOINTING FIRST IMPRESSION I called this dental office today hoping to become a new patient because I’d seen so many great reviews, but unfortunately my experience with the front desk specifically Jackie wasn’t very pleasant. When I explained that my insurance had just kicked in and that I was covered, she immediately dismissed me, insisting that “not all the time it is.” I tried to clarify and even offered to provide my insurance information, but she told me I’d have to come into the office first. Later, she mentioned that I could send my information in something she could’ve just told me from the start. The tone throughout the conversation was very sarcastic and passive-aggressive. When I called back to confirm that my insurance was indeed active. I asked about my potential co-pay, and although I had no issue providing my information, she stated that even with it, she couldn’t tell me. She also made a confusing comment about “main” procedures being covered, but when I… followed up on that, she changed her wording and broke it down in a way that felt condescending. As someone new to the office, I didn’t feel welcomed or respected. I genuinely wanted to schedule here because of the many positive reviews, but my interaction with the front desk left a bad impression. I hope management addresses this, because first impressions matter and this one made me reconsider becoming a patient. As someone who values good service and has a large online platform where I often share my experiences with businesses, I genuinely hope the office takes this feedback seriously. I’m not posting this to “call anyone out,” but to encourage better communication and professionalism moving forward.

My experience has always been extraordinarily good- I've seen them for cosmetic, surgical, cleaning, extraction, fillings- they've always worked w my insurance been very patient oriented and Dr Elizabeth Rothfield is the best dentist I’ve ever had. She and her staff are 5 stars ?? One stop for all your dental needs with fair and well explained prices. They earned my review, I’ve had several friends go there and they all say same thing. Great dentist.

Pricing for my crown wasn't clear and when it was time to get my teeth cleaned the hygienist put so much numbing gel down my throat that my windpipe got numb. A sip of water was all it took to produce a waterboarding type effect. I sat there gagging and gasping for breath for about 10 minutes, I know my pulse and blood pressure were through the roof. Very little empathy from anyone and to top it off they charged my insurance for the aborted cleaning. The Dr. said we would work something out financially due to the confusion about the price and the "cleaning" fiasco but she refuses to speak with me. Jacki the office manager also threaded me with a lawsuit for posting my honest review. I seems my mistakes count but Dr. Rothfield's don't. This place is not friendly to male patients. They talk down to you and treat you like your a child. Go elsewhere unless you enjoy being belittled.
