Dr. Elizabeth Rose Sagan, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Sagan‘s for at least 20 years. I have learned that she’s not only a wonderful doctor but a wonderful kind person very compassionate. When you have your appointment it’s like visiting an old friend because that was but she became. I was sad to see her leave but also happy and hope that she will be able to enjoy her retirement as I enjoyed mine. I don’t think I’ll ever find a urologist to replace her. She was one of a kind. Very knowledgeable in her field. Very compassionate. Took the time to explain and what options you have and she was always there when I called. As I said I will sadly miss her. Dr Sagan is great. Has always been there for me when I need her. She listens and is very compassionate about what you are going through.

Dr Sagan saved our lives?????? At a hospital in Ohio 1997 I was 6 weeks pregnant and was told after being deathly ill for the next 7 weeks straight that they could not find my left ovary ??(after multiple tests during those weeks) and not being able to hold my head up, food down ??extremely high fevers, they came to the conclusion that I had an eptopic pregnancy and needed emergency surgery to terminate the pregnancy . By the grace of God my family insisted that I be transferred to Pittsburgh. I was taken to Magee ER in very critical condition. After arriving my family was introduced to Dr Sagan ( I was out of it) whom found that I had a pelvic kidney that was ready to burst full of infection. Immediately taken into surgery not knowing whether the baby would make it or not ?? but she saved BOTH OF US??????My pregnancy was a rough one and every month for the remainder of my pregnancy I had stents put in to keep my baby healthy. Dr Sagan saved our lives more than once throughout my… pregnancy and I will NEVER FORGET HER.?????? As a matter of fact.... I named my daughter after her....“SAEGAN” ?????????? DR SAGAN ROCKS?????? I would give her a 200%????????

She is professional but caring.

I have seen Dr Sagan for over 2 yrs.-- have constant urinary tract infections, have had 7 this year, take antibiotics for 10 days. Have been on several different antibiotics-- none take care of the problem. I have taken prophylactic antibiotics for months -- still with uti's . Have seen other urologist's also. Very frustrating & painful !

Expensive tests that lead to no solution. Contradicts herself.

what i love about this practice is the availability of Dr. Sagan's nurse, Robin - she gets back to you quickly with info from Dr. Sagan and is approachable and knowledgeable in her own right when i have questions.
