Our story began in 1921, when a coalition of Texas Masons invited Dallas’s first orthopedic surgeon, Dr. W.B. Carrell, to treat children stricken by polio. As vaccines such as Salk and Sabin all but eliminated polio across the Western Hemisphere, we channeled our expertise into a broader spectrum of orthopedic challenges.
