Dr. Elizabeth Treger

Elizabeth Treger is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is passionate about creating a collaborative atmosphere to work with her clients on developing their natural resilience in working through matters of trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment, substance use, and personality disorders. Elizabeth has spent the last 7 years working with individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, including those residing in transitional living. Throughout her years counseling, Elizabeth has become passionate about assisting clients in tapping into their own strengths to assist in long-term change. Elizabeth completed her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). Elizabeth has been trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to assist in processing trauma. Additionally, she utilizes various …evidence-based modalities including client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness, believing that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience. Elizabeth is committed to providing a comfortable and safe environment to assist her clients in processing and developing coping strategies to assist them in leading fuller lives. Having the self-awareness to know that it is time to get help is one of the most courageous steps that a person can take.
