Elizabeth Woods, MD, MPH

Dr. Elizabeth R. Woods is a senior adolescent medicine specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School who serves as Associate Chief Emeritus of the Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine and Senior Advisor to the Community Asthma Initiative. She specializes in adolescent health, eating disorders, asthma care, HIV prevention, and health equity for underserved youth populations. Dr. Woods earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her pediatrics residency and fellowship in adolescent medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital, later earning a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. In addition to her decades of clinical care and leadership, she is widely recognized for directing the Community Asthma Initiative, an innovative program that has significantly reduced asthma-related hospitalizations and emergency visits for children in Boston communities through home-based …and preventive care interventions.
