Dr. Ellen Frances Binder, MD

If you have gone to Dr. Binder you will know what I am writing about. If you haven't and are thinking about an appointment with Dr. Binder, do your homework and check her reviews, not good reviews. I am telling everyone she uses a third party to tell her about the patient and then gives the diagnosis she has been hand fed. My brother is a doctor and for some reason is making our father's life hard and using Binder to his advantage. First he can't control his finances and the second time he couldn't drive or vote. Not sure how her crystal ball came up with any of that, but my father can control his finances and still does. He went and took his written and driving exam with the state and passed both. Not sure how 2 doctors with one crystal ball can tell you if you can vote or not. I think Binder should take the written and driving test, my father told me he is in better shape than she is. Please do not go to her she is evil and should be retired like the crystal ball she has been using.… As for my brother he is Dr. Politis and I wouldn't have him as my doctor, you shouldn't either. Treats his dad like trash can you imagine your family? DO YOUR HOMEWORK THERE ARE MORE PLACES OTHER THAN WASH U.!!!!!!!!

Needs to retire, her crystal ball has broken, look at her reviews I'm not the only one that thinks she is worthless! Ican put the longest review possible but the bottom line is she need to retireandride off into the sunset!

Dr Binder was very kind, patient, professional & thorough with us. She asked great questions & gave us answers. She dug into the details to get a proper diagnosis & make the best recommendations. We are thankful she is our doctor.

Don't bother. Dr. Binder is a self-absorbed know it all, who is condescending in person. Faced with many after-effects of Covid she offered zero hopes of improvement nor offered any suggestions for treatment. Of note as well, after getting out of the hospital with Covid she contacted me - I did not contact her. Her specialty is scolding and belittling.

Dr. Binder and her staff were all very nice, asked many good questions, but in the end provided no new information regarding what was plaguing my elderly father. The findings from the assessment felt very generic and could have been applied to anyone in a more advanced age/state. I had such high hopes given their mission to look at the patient holistically.

My mom had a mild stroke a year ago, which resulted in some memory loss. Eager to see if there were any novel medications or approach to help with memory problems, I took her to see Dr. Bender. She proceeded to tell us basically what we already knew (my mom has memory loss) and was not able to offer anything else that I couldn't find online. What was especially distressing, was that she took the further action of contacting the Secretary of State to revoke her driver's license! We were literally astounded. My mom is 75 and really doesn't drive around too much, but she does drive to a few places - Mostly just the grocery store, the gym, my house, etc. that she knows well. By restricting her to her home, basically, her world has now gotten even narrower. I do not feel she is a dangerous driver, nor does her primary care physician. I am a very safety-minded person (that is also my job!) and I do not feel this was necessary. Dr. Bender took this action which has created all… kinds of new problems for us. So, beware if you or your loved one has a mild memory impairment.

Dr. Binder is a wonderful doctor. She has GREAT bedside manner, is VERY knowledgeable, & thorough! Her staff is friendly & really care about their patients.

Dr. Binder was extremely rude during my conversation with her regarding my mother. She had not even reviewed her medical chart and history to know what her conditions or medications were. In my opinion, she was too quick to judge my mother's progress, prognosis and outcome after only 4-1/2 days of physical, occupational and speech therapy. We will be changing physicians.
