Dr. Ellen Roy Elias, MD

We have been seeing Dr. Elias for my daughter'so complex issues. Dr. Elias stays on top of everything. I have recommended her to others as she is quite knowledgeable, very caring, and very thorough at every appointment.

Overall experience was poor, our daughter was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition and Dr. Elias seemed to know a lot about genetics. However the research she had done previously has not translated to the human element at all. We went in for a routine checkup (we thought) and were informed we couldn't leave the hospital because our daughters life was in jeapardy due to aspiration. she told us we had to have an NG tube put in immediately and no feeding by mouth. After the birth, which was very traumatic we were already cautious of everything with our daughter and this was another hit that had our daughters life hanging in the balance, or so it seemed. Long story short there were other options - including watching what happened with our daughter. It being our first child we weren't sure and trusted what this lady told us. We now wish we hadn't and our questions to the doctor were not explained as well as they should have and the options were not explained as well as they should… have been. This stays with me every single day and every time i pick up my daughter. This lady should not be seeing patients they should put her back in the research center.
