GO TO ANYONE ELSE BUT MCBRIDE! She's horrible. 20 minutes late for zoom appt, call lasted 12 minutes-- charged $350. Horrible demeanor, late to appts, prescribes anti depressants without client consent. Doesn't present with compassion or empathy. Doesn't listen. Didn't care ADHD meds weren't working or that they were stopped. Denied ESA letter to a first responder working in trauma who's presented with anxiety & ADHD. McBride wants her money & kick-backs for prescriptions. Will be reviewing on all platforms to make public aware!

I went to see Dr McBride at Thrive Wellness of Reno which is an awful place. Dr McBride asked me to check in everyday while in my manic episode after I say her a few days before. I left messages she has never responded back in over 2 weeks. When I did talk to her on the phone, she was abrupt, seemed annoyed that I was asking questions. When I went to a new psychiatrist, he was shocked by her medication she prescribed and noted this was the reason why I was manic. I would never recommend her or Thrive Wellness of Reno to any one.

I've been through the system a bit, and felt all too often meds were thrown at me. Not entirely the solution I was hoping for, but I had a very different experience with Dr McBride! She was caring and genuinely wanted to help me find a suitable goal instead of just sweeping the probelm under the rug with drugs. I am really glad that she cared enough to help me find a mixture of life changes and medications. My goals were met, she really helped me out.

Dr. McBride is a nice person and wants to help her patients. Also, her main staff person is competent and follows through well. However, Dr. M. seems to be juggling multiple professional obligations (with West Hills, e.g.) and can become scattered and unfocused. Also, she lists one of her specialties as PTSD and yet she isn't aware of the most current methods of treating it. I think she's taken on more work than she can handle, and she is unable to give her own patients the focus and attention they need.

A good mix of kindness and competence.

Empathic. Listened. Fit me in a 645 pm to accommodate my work schedule. Goes out of her way to help.

Had lots of empathy. Felt cared for. Doesnt throw pills at you.

For those who say they couldn't get an appoint or a call back I'd say they must not have tried very hard because she and her office staff have been responsive. As a solo practitioner Dr. McBride needs a few days advance notice to refill a prescription but that's understandable and totally acceptable because she listens and takes the time to do it right.
