Dr. Ellen Meredith Ormond, PhD

I have been seeing Dr Ormond for several years. She is compassionate, non-judge mental. She is someone who has helped me quite a bit.

Dr. Ormond has helped me immensely and has provided warmth, compassion, understanding and kindness during my sessions with her. She has helped me with exercises and strategies to deal with not only my health issues, but also with some family issues. She is always available for counsel and is simply a pleasure to work with. I am very grateful to her for her friendship and continued help and her support. She is exceptional!

I must say that my husband really liked Dr. Ormond for a very long time and she was very helpful for him for alot of reason. He enjoyed his visits with her and that made me so happy and feel good that he could talk to someone about his cancer. However when the cancer started taking over my husband she said to him that he needed to dying. REALLY I person of her status had the nerve to say that to my husband. Needless to say my husband came home from that visit and was very depressed for weeks because of what she had said to him. He did not want to see her again after that. How can a doctor say something like that to someone with cancer. Don't get me wrong he new his chances were not great but he still had a positive attitude about his situation until the comment. He figured if she was giving up why should he not give up. It took me weeks to get him back on a positive attitude. Then he decided to put the whole situation behind him and try to go back and see her. Well it… ended up that he could never feel good enough to go and see him. She stopped calling him and dealing with him. She never even said anything when he died. It is amazing to me how doctors just give up when it comes to cancer. I want her to realize that what she says to her patients is very important and that maybe she should think be she opens her mouth the next time she talks to a patients.
