Dr. Ellen Maria Walker, MD

I have generalized anxiety disorder and depression. Dr. Walker was the first person who I actually felt I could work with ( I had tried 3 therapist/psychiatrists before her). Her approach of integrating medication and talk therapy with one person is beneficial as opposed to practices that separate these. She knows when to ask key questions. Sometimes I just needed to process recent events and get help with daily life, but some of my most productive sessions were ones where I didn't have any particular issue and she guided me through tough questions helping me realize some of my underlying emotional issues. I can't recommend Dr. Walker enough for anyone with high functioning anxiety or depression.

I have been a patient of Dr. Walker's for the last 4 years and do not think I could have made it without her. She is an incredible listener, empathic advisor, and knows when to interject. Dr Walker is one of the most 'real' people I know; which makes her an incredible therapist. Her office has always been welcoming and comfortable which made a difference to feel comfortable opening up. She and I have done lots of work together and expect it to continue.

Dr. Walker comes off as kind and competent at first, but she bungled my diagnosis, was very defensive when this came to light, and refused to refer me to another physician. Do not recommend.

Dr. Walker is very professional, easy to talk with and a good listener. She knows when to circle back and address something important that others might miss. Highly recommend her services.
