Dr. Elliot Stephen Freed

Both my husband and I go to Dr. Freed. He is very attentive and calls us personally to follow up on any tests results.

Wait was one hour before I saw the Dr. Stated it was a virus bit offered no suggestions on what to do otherwise. Did not give me results of strep test. Had to call back after I left. Lacks compassion. Did not introduce himself to me. Went for pink eye, he never looked at my eyes. Did give me a prescription when I told him about eyes being full of infection and closed in the mornings...had to use hot compress to open my eyes. Arrogant and lazy. Will not be back.

One of BEST Doctors I have had. Caring, competent and has a work ethic of doing what he says he will do. I would highly recommend 1st Freed to anyone looking for a Doctor!

I appreciate the kind and caring way in which I was treated. He is a true professional that takes the time to re-assure the patient.

He is easy to talk with; he answers my questions quickly and openly. I would recommend him to anyone. He attends most of my family.

Called office about congestion and cough. I had taken two weeks vacation for deer hunting and needed my cough gone. Was advised to try mucinex for a couple of days which I did but wasn't getting better quickly. Called back, got an appointment the same day. Prescribed some meds and started them that day. After two days, the meds started doing the trick and by opening day I had no more cough or congestion. Just in the nick of time. Thanks Doc.

Dr Freed is a great doctor has great bed side mannners. He treats me with respect and is very easy to talk to. He does not rush his patients and he has always found a solution to my proablem and he does not alway want to hand out medicine he work thru what you have and understands what your saying. I just wish he was closer to Blacksburg but I can deal with the traveling. He also takes care of my husband and has more patients with him than most doctors. Dr. Elliot Freed embodies the timeless bedside manner of not only treating a patient, but to talking WITH a patient rather than telling the patient what is wrong and then walking out of the exam room. By ensuring this communications process, he is able to garner the subtleties of a patient much the same way a small town Doctor would. Dr. Freed demonstrates the practice of medical excellence each and every visit for me. Excellent physician, excellent staff, excellent facilities. What more could one want in a primary care physician ?

Dr. Freed takes the time to get to know me and, I'm sure, his other patients. He listens closely to my explanations of my ailments, his diagnoses are accurate, and treatments promote fast healing. He is also quick to suggest the opinion of a specialist when appropriate. Each of my visits has been a very comfortable experience.

I think Dr. Freed is a great Dr. I was a mess when I started coming to him he has got my problems he listens to you when you tell him how you fell. I have told several people they need to try him.
