Dr Elmer Valin

Excellent doctor

I have been a patient of Dr. Valin's for over 5 years. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon. I have kept 190lbs off for 5 plus years and I believe that the encouragement and knowledge from this office helped me utilize my tools to maintain a healthy life style. If you are looking for someone to placate you because you are failing at your effort this is not the office you want to be in but if you are truly looking for guidance and professionalism this is the right place and he is the right Doctor for you. Straight forward, knowledgeable and always professional.

His staff appears to be mostly family. They were very polite and welcoming. He is very different. Not friendly - awful bedside manner. Didn't answer questions - seemed intent on just going ahead with the surgery.

He and the nurse that does fill are not into providing patients with info. around fills, problems with fills etc. God help you if you need them after hours- they do not return calls and will not go into the office if you have an emergency.

Front office personnel are great. The APRN is totally unprofessional and very rude. She is nasty and no empathy for the profession she has chosen to work in.

He is a good doctor , the staff not so good

Very happy with gastric bypass I lost 120 lbs 10 years ago and kept it off. My major problem with Dr Valin was he did a tummy tuck and my arms which he was not qualified to do. He is not a board certified plastic surgeon. He left a dog ear on my right side after I specifically told him I wanted no dog ears! My arms look terrible. I went to a plastic surgeon who had told me once he got the insurance to approve the surgery I should have gone to him. The plastic surgeon needs to do another tummy tuck and fix my arms. So i still do not have the body I wished for!Dont let this Dr do a tummy tuck!!!!
