Dr. Elsa Astridari Hale, MD

Horrible, unprofessional doctor. Closed her Gunn Hwy office in 2020 without advising or even contacting many patients. I was to have a procedure that was requested by the retiring, outgoing Dr Gitomer, and Dr Hale was consulted regarding this during an appointment with her. Wasn’t a very warm doctor either, compared to Dr Gitomer. After repeated phone calls and no answer, I drove by her office. Not only was the practice closed, but the entire contents were gone! I’m sure that I wasn’t the only patient who was affected by this inconsiderate, yet still practicing, doctor. I have heard from some friends that they, too, were not consulted and were just left to pick up and search for new doctors on their own. Unacceptable and unprofessional.

Everyone reading this please know that Dr. Hale DID NOT retire. Dr. Torres bought the practice from Dr. Gitomer when he retired...then Torres showed up at the end of a day, told Dr. Hale they no longer needed her, and closed the office permanently. And Torres NEVER BOTHERED TO TELL ANY PATIENTS!!! And even worse, they still robocall from Citrus Park GYN telling us it's time for our Well Women visit. I called the Gunn Hwy office and left multiple messages and NEVER got any call back...so I drove over to the Gunn Hwy office and that's how I discovered that the office was closed by Torres. Then I left messages for Torres and received no response, ever. Their mesage when I called said something like - don't leave multiple message or your call back will be delayed - REALLY...maybe if you called people back or let Dr. Hale's patients know you fired her we wouldn't be calling...bewildered and wondering where our beloved Dr. Hale went. If you thought you were just going to steal all her… patienus, fire her, and we would all blissfully follow you, you are wrong. I went to Citrus Park GYN BECAUSE OF DR. HALE. This is very poor business practice and a poor way to treat Dr. Hale's patients! You need to send all of Dr. Hale's patients letters letting us know you closed the Gunn Hwy office and that Dr. Hale is gone. If alreI've already found a temporary office to get care until Dr. Hale joins another practice.

After being Dr Hale’s patient for many years, I called in 2021 to schedule my annual exam and was told her practice had closed (with no notice) and sent my records TO A DIFFERENT COUNTY! The new practice gave no explanation and were rude when I asked questions. They refused to send me my records as required by law.

I recently called to schedule my annual exam and found the office is closed and Dr Hale is retired. I totally understand the family, especially children come first but please know you are missed. My records were forwarded to an office too far to travel but I would travel to see Dr Hale. After Covid when schools are back to the new normal I hope you return. So many doctors do not know how to treat my skin issues. Take care and be well. Diana Bradlow

She is the best gynecologist Dr. I ever had and I am 60 years old. When I called last week to make my yearly appointment was informed the office was closed and everyone was let go. I was so sad to hear that. All the patients files were transferred to New Port Richey. That's too far for me. So now I have to search for a new Gynecologist not looking forward for that. I wish I new if she was going to work somewhere else. Dr. Hale, If you are retiring I wish you and family the best. I will miss you amazing lady. May God bless and protect you always. I have been seeing Dr. Hail for over 20 years. She is very professional and spends time with you to listen to any concerns and give you feedback. She is a very sweet person and I refuse to see any other doctor. Love her and would recommend her in a heart beat.

I was a bit apprehensive because this was my first time with Dr. Hale and I wasn't sure what to expect. The reviews online were great but everyone is different. If you have been procrastinating your annual exams, go to Dr. Hale. She is AMAZING! She goes through everything with you BEFORE the exam, talks about concerns and offers assistance. She definitely goes the extra mile to make sure ALL of your concerns are discussed. Once you have talked about everything, then she proceeds to do the exam. (Of course this was my first evaluation with her, I am sure it changes if you are an ongoing patient). The evaluation was great, she doesn't try to talk about non-sense while doing the PAP, but gets straight to the point and walks you through everything as she is doing it. She even gave me techniques on how to effectively look for lumps on my breasts. I couldn't recommend her anymore!! She is great!! Plus you get your results online, they have a nifty website where you create a profile.

Dr. Hale always takes her time to go over everything with you and makes sure you are comfortable. She does a great job following up and pays attention to details.
