Dr. Elshami Mohamed Elamin, MD

He was a pretty good doctor until I dared to get a second opinion from someone at KU Cancer Center. The oncologist at KU Cancer Center recommended a slight change to my chemo plan. After That, Elamin was quite rude and refused to give me the results of my next CT scan. How dare I see another doctor and gather all the information possible during such a difficult time. If you see him, don’t dare to get a second opinion, he’ll make sure that you regret it.

Dr. Elamin has been my oncologist for the past five years. I found Dr. Elamin in the Yellow Pages Phone Book when I was not happy with my first oncologist after initial diagnosis of colon cancer. Dr. Elamin confirmed the diagnosis and chemo treatment protocol. But what Dr. Elamin did that was different than the first oncologist was to tell me that one of my chemo drugs was available in pill form. That cut my chemo I.V. visits down to once every 3 weeks instead of every 2 weeks. And that was a blessing. Dr. Elamin is a wonderful, caring and compassionate doctor.By the time I found Dr. Elamin, I was ready to give up and stop fighting my cancer battle. But - Dr. Elamin took the time and caring to really listen to me and my husband - and together we have won the battle against my colon cancer for the past 5 years. Dr. Elamin will always be very special to me and my family.
