Dr. Elva Lynn Dreisbach, MD

I went to see Dr. Dreisbach for a couple years, as my husband has been a patient for many years. Be careful and don't be late or she will refuse to see you, even though you might wait for her for 45 minutes to an hour. Double standard? Her time more valuable than yours? My last visit, their office staff clearly made an error in scheduling and when I showed up they informed me that I was supposed to be there the prior day (not possible - I wouldn't have scheduled that). Dr. Dreisbach was unwilling to see me (and they kept me waiting a half hour before letting me know she was not able to see me despite the receptionist's error. Well, full me once shame on you, full me twice, shame on me. This is not the kind of service I want from a Primary Care Doctor. Talk about feeling like a number! Deplorable. There are many other doctors who will make time to see patients and whose receptionists know you by name. Sure, Dr. Dreisbach is thorough and well educated, but just not the kind… of service for me. Sometimes it's better to stay away from Medical Groups that cater to their Managed Care population, and to just select a good Internal Medicine practitioner. Might I also mention that the office made sure to let me know, as they were drawing my blood, that I would be paying extra for the blood work because I was a PPO and not an HMO patient. Really?????????? Thanks - even the internal lab folks lack bedside manner.

Dr. Dreisbach is an outstanding Dr. Her professionalism, manner, and knowledge, makes going to the Dr. one of the nicer experiences of the day whenever I see her.

I liked Dr. Dreisbach quite a lot when I first became her patient and I remained her patient for around four years. That was until she insisted upon me taking Amlod/Benaz, a medication to control blood pressure (which, at the time, I was sure I didn't need). I soon experienced severe respiratory issues and went back to her for a series of chest x-rays and other medications over the course of many months (a fortune in healthcare costs). After some research, I found the symptoms were a direct result of that same medication. When I confronted her about those many miserable months she had caused, she merely said, "Just stop taking it." No apology and no acceptance of blame. (She had prescribed medication coated with soy to a patient highly allergic to soy, after all). She was my friend's doctor as well--someone to whom she prescribed anti-depressants; she acted completely disinterested when advised that her patient was experiencing night traumas and disorientation! Be warned--Dr. Dreisbach… is NOT the sweet, caring physician she pretends to be.

I switched PCP's last year and was so happy to have found Dr. Dreisbach. She is absolutely wonderful! She is professional, kind, down to earth and doesn't make me feel rushed when I go in to see her. She has my back and will make referrals when necessary. I would highly recommend her to family and friends alike!
