I have a limp, hip not positioned correctly, and one leg is shorter than other….the only solution is another total hip replacement. Grandic never said one word to me before surgery(usually they talk to you before and explain things …and I would have told him about my other problems (facet joint arthritis and torn rotator cuff and bicep problem) and maybe he would have Proceeded differently. Also, I was in hospital extra 5 days because of too much anesthesia, I told anesthesiologist I cant take a lot and he ignored me…I’ve been doing physical therapy for over a year and I will not be better without another total hip replacement….More recently I found out he’s settled many lawsuits…

Dr. Grandic seemed to be in a rush, yes'd everything I asked him - I had to have hip replacement with pins that needed to be removed prior, in addition I had necrosis of the hip - terrible pain could not walk! met with Dr. Grandic felt hurried in his office; just about a 10 min visit; proceeded to tell me that his front office will call me with surgery date! 2 weeks or more went by never heard anything I called his office was told they will call me with a date- I called at least 3 x's kept being told the same excuse- Finally! I insisted again on speaking to the Admin of Grandics office- they finally called me back and told me he cannot do your surgery??? What there must be a mistake! no mistake your Ins is not covered at Bethesda and he suggested that I go with another associate of his?? Really I waited almost 3 weeks to hear this and be tossed around- I thankfully very THANKFULLY found an excellent surgeon who has performed over 3500 Anterior procedures-Human Being REAL person who did… my Surgery extremely SUCCESSFUL!

Dr. Grandic did a hip replacement for me 4 years ago. I am so appreciative of his skill, planning and precision. Everything went smoothly and the results are terrific. I was doing light hiking in N. Carolina 12 weeks later.

Dr. Grandic did both of mine at the same time due to my request, I feared I wouldn't do them both if I didn't like one so I went for it. My knees were bowed and not only are they straight again, I got 4 inches of my height back! I wouldn't think of recommending anyone else, (Wrote this for my husband as he was the patient) His bed side matter was great and his detail was always good and honest)
