If I could give it a negative rating I would. Our trip to Just 4 Kids was a complete nightmare. I feel we would have been better off at a big people's dentist. Immediately the dentist began trying to push the $100 laughing gas on me though my daughter was being totally compliant and receptive to the pushing and prodding with the dental tools. Then of the dental assistants tried to take something from my 4yo daughter forcibly which I did not like. We were sent back to the waiting room to wait for Xrays. Back in the room this same assistant was really impatiently explaining to my daughter what she had to do to get the Xrays done and seemed really frustrated. Then blamed my daughter because she didn't get one of the shots with an exasperated 'We didn't get it because SHE moved". She's four. Of course she moved? Don't you work on kids all day every day??? But I let that go, we were sent back to the waiting room a second time. Once we got called back in the doctor and a different… assistant were preparing to numb my daughter's tooth for the fillings, they explained it to her well that they were putting the tooth to sleep and applied the topical numbing agent. Then they went in with the needle and my daughters head/hands was not secured so she jumped at the pain and the dentist tore my daughters lip with the needle. The dentist sharply reprimanded the assistant for not holding her. When I asked why my daughter was bleeding they brusquely said "Well she jumped, she did it, it'll heal". No, YOU DID IT! You hurt my child that you are supposed to be here to help! She had a very normal and rational reaction to being stuck by something sharp! By this point my daughter was not in a good place. Next they tried to hold her down and stuff a gigantic thing they called a fish into her mouth and she totally revolted and I don't blame her. I don't know that it could have fit into my mouth! The dentist said it was to suck up the bad taste, I don't think she could've even breathed with that huge thing in her mouth. So they resorted to putting a "tent" on the tooth to work which hurt my daughter and she was crying uncontrollably by this time. The doctor curtly said unless I could pay the $100 for the laughing gas right now she couldn't treat her or she (the dentist) could accidentally put the drill through my daughters' cheek if she wouldn't sit still. She also offered to strap her down in a straight jacket blanket. At that point I got my kid out of there. It was a lot of torture all for nothing and the beside manner SUCKED! Just because you put on cartoons, have some colorful stuff on the wall and know who Elsa is doesn't mean that you have a suitable bedside manner for treating kids...unless of course they are under the influence of the all-so-important laughing gas. If you love your kid, you will NOT take them to Just 4 Kids Dental. They just want to nickel and dime you and the treatment is completely unacceptable.
