If you are a woman of color or a woman, please AVOID this doctor and the full USF Fibroid Center. I am utterly disturbed and disgusted at the treatment that i received. I was made to feel like this was all anxiety and mental health. I was disregarded and treated horribly. I was denied basic medications. I will not let this go. The reviews are NOT lying. if you love your life DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR NOR HIS NP!!!!

I will say he is professional in the beginner, my visit was absolutely terrible!!! I am physically disabled with a mild learning disability. I am 27 and have two college degrees and graduated in my top 10% of my class. When Dr. Mikhail was informed that I was disabled he immediately treated me like a idiot and a little child, like I knew nothing and was making everything up. He belittled me and almost made me cry from how he treated me. When I said something didn’t hurt he said “really?!?!”, when he did a pelvic exam on me and I was crying from pain after he said “really?!? That shouldn’t hurt”. He thought everything was neurology related and when it obviously wasn’t(after he did all his dumb tests), he said he wants to send me to someone else because “this is too difficult for me too treat”. I have been dealing with severe uterus pain for 8 years, he was a referral from my GYN but I will say this, Dr. Mikhail is useless and I am not going back to him.

Dr Mikhail and his team have been wonderful through every appointment and procedure. At the initial appointment I was pleasantly surprised at the time allotted to thoroughly discuss my health history, issues, and treatment plan. He listened carefully to every detail of my long struggle with endometriosis, answered every question clearly, and ensured I completely understood as he explained what he would try to do to help. I was extremely thankful he took me as a patient and felt he was dedicated to try and improve my condition. Surgery was very successful, a year later I'm still doing great and the excision procedure was a miracle for me after 5 years of struggle. I also appreciate his communication through email, as questions came up post surgery he always responded quickly and helped me through recovery and any other concerns I may have had. I am so grateful for Dr Mikhail and that he and his expertise are available for all of us in the Tampa area, and that USF Health takes insurance!

I like that he just gets to the point and tells you what you really need in order to get back to a healthy lifestyle. Great bedside manor.

I moved to Tampa, after an initial diagnosis of multiple fibroids. Luckily, I found Dr. Mikhail, and he examined me, and determined that a hysterectomy was my best course of action. He and his team at USF are very skilled, caring, and did a great job. My surgery went very well, I recovered, and am now feeling better than I ever expected. I had several different types of pains / discomfort / and bladder issues that are now gone. Dr Mikhail and his staff are very professional, personable, and he is an excellent surgeon that I would definitely recommend. Tampa General is one of the best hospitals around, and my experience at the Women’s Center was wonderful. The nurses are diligent, caring, and really took care of me- as an outpatient. I am so happy to have this surgery done, even during the pandemic. Dr Mikhail and his team from USF are first rate. I am so lucky to have you on my team. Thank you all very much!

I do not usually write reviews about doctors, but felt my experience should be shared. I saw Dr. Mikhail for endometriosis care, as my normal gynecologist is not a specialist, and I felt I needed to seek someone with more expertise. His office staff was so friendly, and I was seen immediately with no wait time. But thats where my positive experiences ended. Dr. Mikhail reviewed my surgery photos from my diagnostic laparoscopy. He noted that my surgeon had missed a lot of atypical endometriosis and it was likely more widespread than I was told. However, when I asked questions, I was dismissed and he said he would not comment further. Then, he performed a pelvic and rectal exam and a pelvic ultrasound. During the ultrasound, he constantly talked over the ultrasound tech and kept saying that there was no visible endometriosis, which may have been true, as endo doesn't always appear on imaging. The pelvic/rectal exam was extremely painful. When I expressed that I was feeling a lot of… pain, he dismissed it and said "really?! This isn't painful." He said those things after I'd explained that I have unbearable pain during pelvic exams and PIV intercourse. He was so rough during the exams that I had bleeding and discomfort that lasted for about 4 weeks. After the exams, he told me that my endometriosis was not bad enough to need treatment, and he did not want to do any follow up care. This was 9 months ago, and my endometriosis is still a daily burden. I am not sure how he decided that I was not in need of care. Overall, I will never recommend Dr. Mikhail to friends/family, even if they are not endometriosis patients.

Dr. Mikhail is an amazing doctor. I was high risk for anesthetic complications because of my underlying rate genetic kidney disorder. I really felt like we were a team working together. He answered every question to my satisfaction at EVERY visit. I never felt rushed or dismissed. My potassium dropped during the surgery which we expected but the nurse anesthetist was prepared and quickly corrected it. If this was done at any other hospital by any other doctor, I would have been in ICU post op. I was able to go home a few hours later because of the prep work done ahead of time. I highly recommend Dr. Mikhail for your laparoscopic hysterectomy. He preserved both my ovaries as we previously had discussed. He was receptive to my concerns about post op pain management but I didn’t require any post op pain meds because of my extreme discomfort prior to my surgery. The surgery was a huge relief. Thank Dr. Mikhail for being such a wonderful, kind, compassionate doctor with your patients best… interest at heart.

I had a poor experience with this doctor. He continually minimized my pain and said my endo was not that bad I believed him since he is ssupposed to be an endometriosis specialist that works on tough deep infiltrating endometriosis cases. However, I keep having more and more pain till the point it was affecting every single facet of my life. I eventually underwent diagnostic laparoscopy with someone else and was found to have deeply infiltrating endometriosis and stage 4 endometriosis. Isnt that what Dr. Mikhail is supposed to be specialized in???

seems knowledgeable on endo. Treats deep disease if you need it as well.
