ELIMINATE THE EGG TIMER, IT IS NOT QUALITY MEDICAL CARE! What happened to the Hippocratic Oath? The doctor is in a continuous state of rush, rush, rush, as if there is a quota to fulfill. In addition, the doctor is not in a state of being relaxed and, therefore, is not able to focus! Production quotas are antithetical to quality medicine. As a patient, my time was extremely limited in view of the fact that I have multiple co-morbidities, including pneumonia! I was told I must make a future appointment to resolve the other issues which were also pressing. The doctor refused to give me a referral to a specialist, even though I have been suffering from pneumonia for practically a month, with fluctuating oxygen levels and labored breathing! She felt I should wait another 6 to 8 weeks for an additional X-ray. These “wait and see” approaches for geriatric specialists can cause a lot of damage and unpredictable irreversible outcomes! I personally think the doctor needs further training as to… what her duties entail! The patient and a doctor should be in a relaxed state of mind and not let the clock be the determining factor! The “assembly line” nature of this and many other doctors can cause irreversible damage! If this is not rectified these are perfect ingredients for a malpractice suit which would reflect very poorly on UNC's Geriatric medical care! I am wondering if the liability insurance companies know that practicing timed medicine is not consistent with quality care. It is vitally important that the patients’ health care be paramount to the quota system where patients are treated as if they are on an assembly line! I would not recommend this provider if you are susceptible to ulcers or other stress- related diseases or any co-morbidities!!! By the way in their rushed state, they failed to take my O2. HASTE MAKES WASTE. NEED I SAY MORE! "
