Dr. Emily Jane Norland, MD

I was referred to her by my Dr Miller from Swedish hospital. They couldn't schedule an appointment for me immediately, I had to wait 1 month to see her and she canceled my appointment because I was late 10 minutes. Obviously she doesn't care me as a person and she can cancel appointments very easy, in 10 minutes! I understand she has a busy schedule but I think a doctor should be able to give 10 minutes to a patient. I have to find another doctor for my tumor removal after waiting 1 month...

I wish I could sit in her office and tell people not to go to her. She is a terrible, terrible doctor. She pretends to care so will impress you when you speak with her, but she made a serious error in my care and yet when I went to speak with her about it, she hadn't so much as looked at my chart before I sat in the room with her (let alone come to visit me in the hospital to discuss it). She apologized, but that is not enough. I thought I liked how she always seemed so relaxed about everything, but there's a very significant downside to that approach. Please please go somewhere else.

Dr. Norland is one of the best doctors I've had! We just had our first child and I seriously want to have all my kids delivered by her and the Drs. at the Polyclinic. She is extremely knowledgeable and kind. I would recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Norland is an excellent choice. She is attentive, caring and thorough. She is a great coach for the delivery room and I highly recommend her.

I was referred to DR. Norland for a fibroid I have. When she walked in she introduced herself and said "so what do you want to do?" I proceeded to tell her that I had an ultra sound of my uterus. She said "Oh, no one has talked to you about it yet" Well, no, that's why I'm here lady I wanted to say. I explained my symptoms and I felt like she rushed through probable causes and treatments available, attitude was a little flip it. I'm cancelling my scheduled biopsy. I've learned more on researching fibroids than she even knew.
