I was born in Beppu, Japan, home to Onsen Hot Springs. My mother is Japanese, my father is Native American. Most people think it's an unusual mix. I'm proud of both heritages and take full advantage of them. It's great to feel connected to everyone at an "obon festival" or a "pow wow."
