Dr. Emma Guttman, MD, PhD

I’d been waiting for years to finally see Dr. Guttman. I’ve suffered my whole life w/ eczema. I paid around $700 cash because I felt I’d receive the best care and it would be worth it. I waited an eternity in waiting room. When in clinic, Dr Guttman seemed arrogant and impatient, but I was still hopeful. She injected me with Dipumulab in the office and then intensely pressured me to join her clinical trial. She handed me a ton of paperwork and almost bullied me into it, until I finally trusted my gut and declined. It felt like all she really cared about. After I left, I began having an adverse reaction and trouble breathing, so I called the office. They paged her. She didn’t reply. Hours later, still no phone call. Clinic told me to go to the hospital. Why should I pay an ER visit because the doctor I just paid $700 cash for doesn’t even care to call me back after an adverse event?!! Do you want to know when she finally returned my call?……. The answer is never. I’m writing this a year… later, and I never heard from Dr. Guttman again. She doesn’t care about her patients. She’s just a money grubbing imposter.

Spoiler alert: it didn’t work! She took me on an expensive, emotional, and painful treatment journey that left me in a worse place than where I started. I’m not actually upset that her treatment didn’t work, but that she was so cavalier about the whole thing.

Dr. Guttman is the most horrendous, insensitive human being I have ever met. Period. She has no patience or time for her patients. She takes no insurance. She gets angry for asking questions about medication. She strong-arms patients into clinical trials and will never do anything to jeopardize her relationships with the pharmaceutical companies. She represents everything that is wrong with health care in America.

Dr. Guttman is an amazing doctor who truly helped me with my skin conditions! Such an amazing doctor!

She gave me a diagnosis IN 5 MINUTES AND RAN THE HECK OUT OF THE OFFICE without fully explaining the medications she was prescribing or her diagnosis. She prescribed me antibiotics with a heavy dose that I had to take three times a day. I had a terrible reaction and had to wait a week to talk to her because she saves the world and works only part time as a doctor. When I see her, she was very dismissive about my reaction to what she prescribed me. It made my condition worse and when I started to ask her what specific folliculitis did I have, she literally said she did not know and if I want another prescription then she has to literally see that the condition is getting worse. Malpractice is right around the corner guttman, you botox face fake smile poorly dyed hair b. Her interaction with me was terrible, judgemental and rude. She avoids challenges because as she said has other stuff to do. You'll meet with her twice and then she'll refer you to somebody who specializes in the same… crap she does. She does not grasp clinical challenges her patients face and has no passion to treat diseases that she does not yet have a full understanding of. AVOID AT ALL COST.

She did an unnecessary mole removal on my chest without a biopsy- even though I asked her to make sure it wasn't cancerous. Without any tests, she did the excision (thinking that it was a simple procedure) and ended up botching it. It's been 4 years with a disfigured and conspicuous scar on my chest- still bothers me and has affected my self-confidence. She just suggested I do cosmetic surgery and would refer me to her friend- no thanks
