He should not hold a medical license. He was unwilling to help my Dad when he was in the hospital, kept on passing him off to different specialties. Ordered a MRI, findings were significant for Neuro-Degenerative disease, he wouldn't do anything further. Wouldn't even sit with us to go over the MRI. We transferred our Dad to Chicago and with the same MRI images at Community, diagnosed me Dad. The guy is a joke. When we told him the diagnosis, he actually smirked and said "wow that would have been neat to see" what??? he was diagnosed with a death sentence. My dad died 11 days after MRI. Pathetic excuse for a human and doctor. Do not go to him!!

This review is more about the office. When you call and leave a message they will not return your call. I’ve already drove over there to get a message to the doctor and that doesn’t work either. I would give the office one star but they are nice. Just frustrating for the patient.

doesnt seem to care about anything but getting paid!! when your grandmother is 92 and needs her pills they dont care at all !!

very arrogant laughs while you tell him your symptoms seems like he has his mind made up before your explanation also very hard to get your records from the office and appointment are made by voicemail and they dont call back i found new doctor

Dr. Akan took time and explained my condition in depth to me. He used diagrams to show me exactly what was going on, and answered all of my questions in depth. I cannot say enough positive things about this physician. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Often cancels appointments and is hard to contact office staff members as everything has to go through an automated system. While he may be knowledgable it is an absolute nightmare to get an appointment.
