Dr. Enrique J Huertas JR., MD

No stars not worthy. Dr. Huertas is a very un human health care provider. My aunt, was in the hospital 5 times & we called the office to let him know and not once did he return a call, to check up on her or visit her. Recently I called to ask for her diagnosis & I needed some paperwork filled out for the ALS she went to, I was advised I needed to bring her in for that. I asked various times to speak to Dr. Huertas, and was told he would NOT return my call. I have a right as any family members do to speak to the doctor regarding a family’s condition. I do not blame the office personnel for his incompetence as a medical doctor, but I do believe they too are not well informed nor do they give him messages in the past. I have known the Huertas for many years, as my parents did even before I was born, he will never live up to his fathers name as a reputable medical doctor as his father the real Dr. Huertas did, he will never fill his shoes, Dr. Huertas was a human being before he was a… doctor. He is more concerned to charge a visit, than compassion. I hope none of you will need to speak to him when a family member is in the hospital or any other matter.

I, along with my family, have been seeing Dr. Huerta for several years. He’s always been easy to talk to and clear minded about the best solution to medical concerns. Thanks to him, we were able to get a diagnosis that was practically dormant on my mother’s benign brain tumor and address this before it became a problem. Dr. Huerta is also better in conversation than in knee jerk medication prescribing. I had a high LDL reading several times and he immediately told me to get on Lipitor, but I argued that my HDL was high and that my VLDL was low and I adjusted my diet for a few months and we revisited the cholesterol issue and we both determined I didn’t need the medication. He’s a very well rounded doctor. Wouldn’t trade him for anyone.

This Md was giving me cholesterol medication for the longest time which i didn't need. Terrible mistake! i need to check my kidney and liver, because this medication affect those organs. He is no longer my primary MD

I rate both Dr. Huertas and his entire staff an A+++. The overall office appearance is very clean and organized. All of the girls are educated, polite and professional. It's a fun and upbeat atmosphere! The tech who does the blood work and check in is a total sweetheart, energetic and fast. Dr. Huertas is in my opinion one of the best doctors around, he's knowledgeable and really cares about all of his patients. Old fashioned values with a modern take on medicine. I highly recommend this doctor's office to anyone who is looking for an excellent doctor.

The dr is wonderful and takes his time with patients. The staff is always willing to fit you in same day if you have an emergency. Has been my families doctor for almost 20 years.recommend him highly!
