Dr. Enrique Antonio Mendez, MD

My doctor referred me to Mendez and I waited over two weeks for a call for an appointment and never received it. I called and was told he denied me and the woman I spoke with said she did not have the reason as to why I was denied because Mendez did not tell her. I mean these people did not even have the common decency to call me and tell me I was denied! So unprofessional!! So I Called my insurance which is Blue Cross thinking maybe it was because he was not in my network but he WAS! Guess I will never know the reason but I am glad I did not get in. From the reviews it seems he is just a money hungry quack that likes to solve everything with pain meds!

I’m seeing Dr Mendez & really like him. He listens to what I have to say & we talk about it. Sometimes it takes a lil longer to see him, but that’s with all Dr.’s All of his staff has always been very nice.

I was referred to Dr. Mendez by my doctor month ago and never received a call to set up an appt. I finally called today to see what the problem was. It took several tries to get ahold of someone, but when I did, I was told that Dr. Mendez denied the request. When I asked why, the woman told me she didn't know but that they weren't required to give an explanation. I later found it is was probably due to me having Medicare and he doesn't like Medicare patients. The only thing I can think of is that he doesn't make as much money with those on Medicare than he does with straight insurance. If that's the case, he is only out for the money. His office wasn't even going to call me to let me know that he denied me so that I could find another doctor. Definitely doesn't care about people in need of his type of medical services. STAY CLEAR!

received a referral for me from my old Dr in another state. Took them a month to get me entered in their system. They kept saying “IT has to do it…”. Whatever. Finally got an appointment a month after my medication ran out. As an aside…if you think Kelcie will return your phone calls…you’re probably gonna be disappointed. Made it in for my first appt. Waited 45 minutes. Then another 25 in the exam room. Finally Mendez shows up sits at his computer typing, asked me a few questions over his shoulder then said “I’m going to take you down the hall for blood work”. As we passed the nurses station he turned and stood there joking with the nurses FOR 10 MINUTES while I stood there awkwardly. Got to the lab and he said “this is so and so…she’ll take your blood” then without a word he just turned and walked away and I didn’t see him again. They didn’t get my prescription filled AND A MONTH WENT BY with kelvin not calling me back. Had my next appointment and it was a repeat of the first.… Still didn’t get my prescription called in. 3 weeks went by…still no prescription. Called kelcie and actually spoke to her for the first time. She said she’d get to the bottom of it and call me back. 3 weeks went by and I called them and cancelled my next appointment. That’s it in a nutshell.

Takes me over an hour to get to office. I get there for appt. kids took mask out of vehicle so I didn't have one. I figure no problem doctors office they will give me one. Nope they CHARGE YOU$2.00 I DID NOT PAY. They had to reschedule my appt. Not going back finding a new doctor.

I’ve heard that Dr. Mendez is a wonderful doctor and I don’t doubt that’s true. I waited in his office for 3 hours and 7 minutes. At noon the receptionist lowered the shades. I left and will never go back. My time is important too.

There is a total disconnect between the doctor and patient in this office. Communication of office procedures or expectations were not discussed up front nor provided in writing. Documentation of office visits were not recorded in their systems. I was treated rudely by the staff not all but most of the personnel. The drive to his office took a great deal of time out my day and there was no consideration for this. I wish future patient all the best.

Speaking as a retired nurse and patient advocate, this office has the most disrespectful staff, I’ve met in my lifetime. If you value your time, see someone else.

Brought my wife for 10:30 appointment .sign says he will. Ot see you if your fifteen minutes late ii have been here almost 3 hours and she has not seen him yet. What kind of deal is that

I have 2 diseases that I have not been able to find help with & he has gone above & beyond to try & help me. Thanks Doc!!!
