Dr. Enrique J Tomeu, MD

Be very careful of this man. He is rough and will not hesitate to use the vacuum extractor telling you it’s safe. Not in his hands. He will not hesitate to tear your vagina so badly that it is uncomfortable to have sex with your husband again and it takes a long time to heal. Too rough and doesn’t know how to talk to people.

I had a couple of appointments here and one time there was someone elses blood in the room I was put in. There was one nurse who always had a bad attitude. The doctor himself made me super uncomfortable.

staff is great but if you are a known high risk and are in pain be prepared to be told to suffer or have an abortion. This man needs his medical license revoked. I've lost 4 pregnancies since 09 but he decided not to send me to a high risk doctor. So unless it's a perfectly normal pregnancy with no issues. Run.

I agree with a previous poster that Dr. Tomeu is rude, uncaring, and egotistical. My husband and I saw him for our first prenatal appointment and made a point to not schedule him anymore. I went into labor, and guess who the doctor on call was. After pushing an hour, he was fighting for a cesarean. Being first time parents, my husband and I trusted his advice. Luckily, there was a midwife who just happened to be helping out at the end of her shift. Every time he left the room, she said that I DID NOT need a cesarean. I was not in distress and the baby showed no signs of distress. She said he obviously just wanted to get on with his day. I pushed about 30 more minutes and out came our perfect little girl. I'm so thankful for the caring midwife who saved me from a longer recovery and some slight complications for subsequent pregnancies. It could have been such a different story, with me telling everyone I had to have an "emergency cesarean" when it really was his own… selfish behavior and uncaring attitude.

He delivered my daughter and two of my friends babies he's an amazing doctor. I seem to have pregnancy where you never know what's going to happen at delivery and even a planned c-section through us some surprises! I wouldn't trust anyone else to deliver my children =)

Dr. Tomeu has cared for me through three pregnancies: a second-trimester loss, an uncomplicated vaginal delivery, and an emergency c-section. He was just what I needed through each of those very different scenarios--kind, honest, encouraging, and comforting. He was always willing to answer my questions with thorough answers and would also provide his personal opinion, which I really did appreciate. He gave me all of the information I needed and allowed me to make my own decisions without any sort of pressure. What's different about Dr. Tomeu is that is absolutely honest and forthcoming; to some that may come off as "politically incorrect", but I actually appreciated his candor. To acknowledge his history, you would have to do your own research and make your own decision...just as I did. I will definitely continue seeing Dr. Tomeu for my OB/GYN care.
