Dr. Ephraim M Ovitsh, MD

Front desk staff are absolutely so rude and unhelpful!! I booked an appointment through zocdoc, the doctor did drew a serum pregnancy tests along with some other labs. During the visit, he reassured me everything would come back by early morning the following day and that I would receive a phone call or an email of some sort in regards to my results. It has been 6 days. I have left several messages at the front desk, several voicemail after voicemail. I never once received a phone call back!! The receiptionist responds by saying, "well I did my job and told him so I can't do anything." He is very unreliable and unprofessional. Working in a private practice you would assume he wants to build rapport with his patients. Why have a woman wait 6 days to tell her whether or not shes pregnant!? I am currently still waiting for results. That blood tests takes one day to come back. GO TO ANOTHER GYN DOCTOR PLEASE.

I know sometimes a Dr. Can treat patients great but can treat staff like crap I worked with Dr. Ovitsh at st. Vincent's OBGYN about 18 years ago and never forgot him he is not only a great Dr. To his patients but he was a great Dr. To his staff heres to you Dr. Ovitsh may you have many blessed and successful years.

Treats patients with respect, makes you feel so comfortable and takes his time to explain things. Most females in my family also see him, he also remembers patients faces and situations which makes me feel even better.

Ephraim Ovitsh is an excellent doctor. He is thorough, and very gentle. I would recommend him!

The best doctor in town. He always listening to what you have to say. He never rushes to see the next patient. He also has a sense of humor.

Stopped in for a routine exam and told Dr. Ovitsh about some pain I was having. He ordered 31(!) lab tests. Only 4 were covered by my insurance. The others would have been covered if he would have done some initial testing first and found that additional tests were warranted, but he didn't bother to check with my insurance company first to find that out. The next thing I know I get a bill from the lab for over $2800. The lab doesn't care that the doctor who ordered the tests is a moron. That's my problem, not theirs.

My experience with Dr. Ephraim Ovitsh over the last four years has always been excellent. He is thorough, gentle and caring and provides excellent explanations. I highly recommend Dr. Ovitsh

I've been with Dr O. since 1998. Had 3 kids with him and there will never be a more kind, sympathetic dr. He was above and beyond supportive when I lost a pregnancy. Both my husband and I think he's the best there is.

I have been going to Dr Ovitsh for over 2 years now... he is the best obgyn I have ever had... I am now 3 months pregnant and I have to switch doctors to someone near my house in Long Island (vs him in the City) and I am very upset that I will not be able to find someone as caring and trusting as him. I highly recommend him. I am usually very harsh with my ratings but he is really an exceptional doctor. Good luck.

I agree, Dr. Ovitsh is one of a kind. He is very patient and caring. He treated me with surgery for my fibroids and now I can live normally. I recommend him to all my friends.
