Dr. Eric A Awad, MD

Dr. Eric Adrian Awad is the rudest doctor that I have ever met in my life. I can not believe that he has been allowed to be in practice this long. Last month, my father and I visited his office so that my father could have an evaluation. As I assisted my father in the patient room, the medical assistant told me that after assisting my father, I would have to leave the room, but he assured me that I could come back in once ERIC came in the room. So I went into the waiting room and waited for ERIC to go into the room. About thirty minutes later, ERIC went into the room with my father. So naturally, I knocked on the door, so that I could be let into the room, because I was told perviously I would be able to join my father once ERIC showed up. ERIC with an obnoxious tone asked “Who is it?". I let him know who I was and he opened the door and yelled “WE ARE NOT DONE”. Shocked, I left the area and went to the waiting room. ERIC, then came out of the room and told his receptionist to close… the door, so that no one can get back to where he was. After my father’s testing was done, I asked to speak to ERIC so that I can know exactly what was happening with my father’s health, but he refused to talk to me. Even when I voiced my concerns to the office manager, I was told that ERIC’S decision was final and he did not want to talk to me. ERIC also said that the results to my father's test will be at the doctor's office that referred him. To make matters worse, my father had an appointment two weeks later at the doctor’s office that referred him and guess what? The results were not there! So not only was ERIC rude and arrogant, it seems as if he is incompetent too, because he could not even fax over the paperwork the other doctor needed. I understand that most of the doctors that are apart of Piedmont Healthcare may have had years of educational training , but maybe they should consider giving Doctors like ERIC etiquette and customer service training because he seriously lacks it. I hope this issue is addressed quickly. Until then, avoid him at all cost.

Dr. Awad is a great physician with excellent bedside manner. Neurology patients suffer some of the most debilitating and life changing injuries. At times we are most uncomfortable. This doctor is the top neurologist at Piedmont hospital and is very much professional, excellent bedside manner and a thoughtful physician who always showed empathy, respect and concern during my visits. I highly recommend Dr. Awad.

Dr Awad is a brilliant and wonderful doctor. We are lucky to have such a talent in an outpost like Atlanta. He quickly understood where my wife Sue was in her recovery from a stroke and comforted us that she would have a full recovery. We highly recommend him to anyone who wants competent care with direct, honest answers. He is not a sugar coater so look out anyone with thin skin.

Dr. Eric Awad is so very knowledgeable, but more than that he a wonderful communicator. He is an educator. I have had two appointments and he has been so very clear with his findings and opinions. He is an exception in his thorough report. Mrs . S. B. Ansley

While the staff was courteous and prompt, Dr. Awad was beyond unprofessional. He asked me if I had internet, then told me to "go home and put into Google" what he wrote on a piece of paper - apparently my diagnosis. When I asked him about the link between a symptom and a condition I have (the reason I was referred to him), he laughed. After I pointed out that I do not find this as trivial as he apparently does, and I definitely don't think laughter is appropriate, he denied he laughed. I would have accepted a simple apology but I will not tolerate being disrespected and then lied to about it within the same minute. I complained at the front desk, my copay was returned and they said they'll call me as a follow-up the next day. They never did.

A good really good staff will make an average doctor look really good. Bad staff will make a really good doctor look really, really bad, that's the case with Dr. Awad. He's patient and provides sufficient time to address your issue(s). But, his staff, can and did, with me, undo all the good I saw in him. I would definitely recommend him but only if you have the patience to deal with his crappy staff. His staff is unresponsive to phone calls, lack follow through, poor soft skills, and just plain uninterested. I'm a firm believer that for providers, your staff represent who you are.

I went to 4 neurologists before seeing Dr. Awad. He was the only one who took the time to figure out was going on with me. After being the only doctor to order an ambulatory EEG, he was the first doctor to diagnose what turned out to be simple partial seizures. To say he changed my life, is an understatement.

If you are looking for a Dr. That doesn't care about you he is your guy!! He dosen't care about the patients or their health...just your pockets getting fatter!! What type of neurologist tells someone that migraines are not a serious issue?? When you tell them you are going to file a complaint they say "I don't care that will go on your records. It won't hurt me, it will hurt you" I always wonder why people go into the medical field when you don't care about people!! This is why so many people have no faith in he healthcare field!! If you suffer from migraines this is not a doctor i would recommend!!

Dr. Awad kicked me and my partner out of his office. He is an insecure twit who needs to get out of medicine. My partner is a medical expert and instead of working together he yelled at her and got very aggressive. I was supposed to have blood work drawn but he was so angry that never occured.
