Dear Doctor Eric Brasson: I want to thank you again for taking special care and interest in my sister, Mary Dell. As you know, she has mental illness and I fear others are not as sensitive to her as I wish they would be. The fact that you called me three times was simply astounding to me. Maybe you do this regularly but I took it as a special favor and one that is especially appreciated by me – I am almost 4 hours away and because of my husband’s illness, I am not able to come to Hollywood at this time. Also, after Dell’s surgery you went to my sister’s room to check on her and reported to me that the she was walking around and that the flowers I sent had arrived. Your attention to me and my sister was of great comfort and reassurance. I guess you’re my perfect picture of the caring doctor but I’m not sure I really believed in that anymore. So – as you go through your day and into the coming weeks, please feel gratified that you have restored faith in a skeptic.
