Dr. Eric John Edelenbos, DO

I had a surgical consult with Dr. Edelenbos. I was pleasantly surprised with his bedside manner. He answered all my questions thoroughly and wasn’t rushed. I was very pleased with this physician. My only complaint was that I waited for over an hour to see the doctor, but that wasn’t his fault.

Dr. Edelenbos has been my GYN physician since 2009, assuming my care from Dr. C.J. Krebs, whom I had been with since 1982. Both were in the same office and Dr. Krebs was retiring. I became familiar with Dr. Edelenbos while attending OB visits for my first born grandchild in 2007. Because of his extraordinary bedside manner, complete, total care and concern for my grandchild/ren and mother I chose Dr. Edelenbos to care for me. A decision that has proven to be a Godsend for my overall health, wellbeing and peace of mind. I am truly blessed to still have him as my GYN caregiver. Not one time during any visit did I have a problem with any part of the visit. OB/GYN physicians have valid reasons for running behind or being unexpectedly absent. Likewise, if you need some extra time with your doctor be happy he/she gives you that time. Not all do. Dr. Edelenbos is responsible for bringing my amazing grandson safely into this world and getting me through some very complicated health matters.… His concern and excellent treatment for me is why I still drive 70 miles, one way. I received exceptional care from both of my doctors and all staff!

I want in for an annual pap (as a new patient), left out bleeding due to him taking tissue samples from my uterus (he wanted to test for cancer due to a mass he felt during my pap)! It was very impromptu, with no time to think about the procedure. I feel like I was rushed into a decision. After the tissue samples came back, he stated that there was not enough tissue included in the sample. He went on to say how I would have to have the surgery again and be put to sleep to get an adequate tissue sample. I left and never went back!! I got a second opinion from another OBGYN. They could not understand his reasoning behind what he did to me! He is not to be trusted!! Terrifying experience.

Worst doctor I've ever seen. I've had four children and then moved and needed a new OBGYN. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had going to a doctor.

I expected him to have several Stellar reviews, but he barely has any! Everyone needs to know that he is the best OBGYN that I have ever had. I have been seeing him for the past year. He is very polite, kind & intelligent. He is also very thorough & informative during our appointments. He did my surgery last week to have a dermoid cyst removed. It was 10cm by 8cm and I have never had open surgery before. He helped me to be aware, informed, calm and optimistic. I am very pleased with the results of the survey. The constant, sharp pains in my left abdomen from the cyst are gone & so is the cyst. He did a bikini cut (laparotomy). The scar was only 3in long (smaller than the average 4-8in. It was a clean cut with minimal scar tissue or skin damage. I am only 2 weeks & 1 day post op and you can barely see the scar! Pain level at a 1-2 as my skin heals itself. I am very thin (95 lbs) so I am very pleased with how successful everything went with hr surgery. I will try to update later on as… more time passes! Thank you, Dr. E! :-D

I didn't go to Fleming Island, went to Oakleaf Plantation and saw Dr E. He was very professional and made me VERY comfortable. I would definitely recommend Dr. E

I had suffered really sharp rectal pain.....i got to the point where I could not sit nor stand or even go to the restroom because so bad.i was basically living on pain medication.until I was refered to him....he ran test on me and noticed a small cyst but he said a cyst cant be causing that kind of pain...so we talked about it and he gave me options ..i told him I wanted everything removed.....my womb and ovaries..when he remove my womb I had lots of tumors that did not show on in the test...what was happening my womb swelled up around the time of my once a month cycle allowing the tumors to press on my rectal nerves.....I been the best ever since the surgery and I love the fact he was so concerned of how it was affecting my life.

This doctor has a generous heart, however, the wait time to see him is unacceptable. Every visit recently has been a 3 hour wait (just to review my pregnancy on a sonogram). I had a complaint regarding this matter and he obviously wasn't receptive to the complaint regarding the long waits. Instead of him apologizing and asking me for an alternative doctor at the facility, he decides to take it personal and discharge me overall. Therefore, Im unable to get any further service through North Florida OBGYN. Im highly disappointed in him. Would love to recommend him base on his passion and heart that is in the right place, however, his ability to maintain professionalism when being address regarding his timing is just not good.

My appointments were always rushed and Dr. Edelenbos was not comforable with answering questions. At the start of my third trimester, he had his office manager call me and tell me I needed to find a new physician. I cannot believe a doctor would abandon a patient this way. It's very unprofessional.

I was lucky enough to go to Dr.E from the beginning of my last pregnancy. He always had a smile on his face. Very friendly, great bedside manner. He let my older kids get really involved in the appointments, during the ultrasounds & all. Great Dr. & hopefully I will have another & I will Def. go back to Dr. E
