Has anyone found out where he’s transferred to?

Does anyone know where Dr. H works now? I had my initial endo appointment with him, completed an MRI, and was just waiting for my colorectal consult before I could schedule surgery. I've been waiting 2 years for this and now was told by OBGYN West that he no longer works there. Please help!!

I saw Dr. Heegaard for chronic pelvic pain. I could tell at my first appointment that he had thoroughly reviewed the patient records and patient intake forms he requested ahead of time. We talked about possible causes for pain and treatment options. I opted to have endo excised with him. When the endo pain was gone but my overall pain level wasn't reduced, he believed me and was as disappointed as I was. He referred me to excellent physical therapists and pain management. When we had exhausted all other options and determined the pain was uterine due to adenomyosis, he very thoroughly explained my options. Even though I was under 30, he offered a hysterectomy, fully supporting my choice to make decisions about my fertility. After thinking about it and asking him more questions, I decided to proceed with surgery. Surgery went perfectly and my recovery was easy. He literally gave me my life back. There were a lot of things that were difficult about treating severe pelvic pain, but… working with Dr. Heegaard and his office was always easy. I always felt supported and understood. He always explained what he thought was going on and the reasons behind the diagnosis, but was extremely open to my input.

I went to him for the birth of my 1st child and he told me my options and one was termination due to a heartbeat issue and I was not happy with that because I would never do that. EVER!

Dr. Heegaard is the fourth gynecologist I’ve seen about my pelvic pain. If it’s up to me, he will absolutely be the last. I knew the minute I met him that the relief I’d been waiting a year for was no longer unattainable. Not only does he know how to recognize and properly treat endometriosis using the best available technology, but he is fully cognizant of the pain and struggles his patients endure. He understands the symptomatology almost as if he himself has the disease! Dr. Heegaard listens and empathizes and, with the patient, comes up with the best possible treatment plan for her. I have never felt so respected, at ease, enlightened, and comforted in a doctor’s office before. Even months after my laparoscopy excision surgery, I’ve been pleasantly surprised to receive phone calls from Dr. Heegaard to see how I’m doing. What a rare and delightful combination of skills in this man! I have experienced significant pain relief because of him, and I’m blessed to have him as a guide on… my health journey. I hope he knows how much light he brings into my life and all his patients’ lives! Dr. Heegaard is a real gem of a human being.

Would give Dr. Heegaard a million stars if they would let me!

I have endometriosis and had excision surgery with Dr. Heegaard. I've spent years in pain with terrible care from multiple doctors; Dr. Heegaard gave me my life back. I happily drive 70 miles one way for appointments.

I had surgery with Dr Heegaard in Jan for endometriosis and suspected adenomyosis. I ended up having a total abdominal hysterectomy. After my first appointment I felt completely comfortable with him. It was an amazing feeling to find a dr that not only believed that I was in constant pain, but he also tried to find out why. After an mri suspecting adenomyosis, he presented me with all of my options, let me know that if I did choose to have surgery it would not be an easy surgery. He took every precaution and had a colorectal surgeon and a urologist in the operating room with him. At this point I know I am still recovering, but I cannot tell you how much better I feel! He is very knowledgeable, understanding and compassionate. I cannot thank him enough!
