My husband underwent a routine ACL surgery with Dr Heiden in late 2022. Within a week, infection set in. While infection is always a risk, the lack of response by Dr Heiden and his team stands out as extremely poor medical care. When I texted with concerns about my husband's pain, nausea and passing out, they were brushed over as unimportant or ignored. Later when speaking to Dr Heiden, he admitted that he had not responded appropriately to what was obviously a serious situation and said that he expected a medical malpractice case (delay in diagnosis of infection). He never asked to see the patient and we have had no contact with him or his clinic. The result was 3 clean out operations elsewhere, including removal of ACL graft and now, a knee replacement. We have received no compensation from Dr Heiden. A Medical malpractice case has not been possible. The system protects doctors. Dr Heiden is probably a good doctor when it goes well. If not, he is not someone you want on your team.

Excellent surgeon! Dr. Eric Heiden replace both of my knees and within a year I’m back hiking Timpanogos thank you ‘Dr.??

I went into his office and he didn't even examine my knee nor took x-rays. He actually asked for my last x-ray from over a year post surgery from old doctor. In the end I asked for a MRI. That was 3 months ago and haven't heard from him or his office since. I wasn't enough money for him apparently.

Dr. Heiden has done what others have failed at - he put Humpty Dumpty back together. After several failed diagnosis by others, and even a failed surgery, I went to see Dr. Heiden. He spent time diagnosing my situation, formulated a plan, and eventually told me that surgery was the only reasonable option. I am about mid-way down the path to a full recovery.

Dr. Heiden did a great job repairing my son's broken clavicle. He was very informative, understanding, thorough, and most of all, he did an outstanding job! Great orthopedic doctor!
