Dr. Eric Michael Masao Imoto, DO

My experience with this doctor has been an exercise in exasperation and dealing with very poor practice. When scans comparisons show concerning differences, he has done two things, said “Well, we doctors all measure things differently (uh, no),” and then he said that he went back and “reevaluated” his last reading, all leading to the fact that for biopsy I am still being told to wait. I have had four cancers, three major ones. The last one was lung cancer and it is a terrifying enemy. This doctor doesn’t care. The last scan, a VERY important one for me, was done incorrectly. My pre scan contrast was not administered until after the first three scans. I am not even sure that the tech even gave it to me when I waved and made a scene about not having it. I never felt it (my body ALWAYS feels the stuff entering me). Anyway, the first three scans (without infusion) showed practically nothing (there had been several areas of concern, nodules, and a cluster of questionable things (have to… use “safe words!”) that were growing and developing solid centers. This reading? Magic! None of that. I told him it was done wrong. He thinks I am lying. He has blown me off, and I will pay for a CT out of my retirement savings to prove this recent scan result dead wrong. Better it than me! The fact that doctors are profit machines working in a system of sheer greed renders these doctors up against a system within which it is hard to do a good job. I am not done yet. I cannot risk my life just because a doctor doesn’t believe me and can’t take the time to believe me and truly check out where HIS TEAM is making big errors.
