dr. kopf is the best docter i have ever seen. he listens and he knows a lot i was recommended by a friend of a friend that is a scientist. the people in his office are very nice and respectful i won't go anywhere else

You can't go wrong with Dr. Kopf! I was referred to him by some friends with glowing reviews and I can see why! He is very attentive and has always taken excellent care of me, regardless of what I went in for. He spends a lot of time getting to know you and trying to find the best way to take care of you. You can tell that he cares about his patients a lot. It was difficult to get an appointment with him at first because he has a waiting list, but he is worth it! The best part was that he didn't make me wait that long to see him like a lot of other doctors. To me that is a major plus! I have never had any problems with my insurance or billing from his office like the other reviewer, but doctors don't usually handle their own billing so maybe a mistake was made? I highly recommend Dr. Kopf regardless.

I have insurance coverage which pays 100% for preventative care, including physicals and lab work. I wanted to take advantage of that benefit and get a physical exam last year, so I went on the Anthem website and looked for local general practitioners who were accepting patients. I found Dr. Kopf listed, and called to make an appointment. When I was on the phone making the appointment, I verified that Dr. Kopf was "in network" for Anthem Blue Cross. They said that I couldn't have a physical on my first visit, that I'd have to have a "new patient" appointment. I said fine, as long as it was considered part of getting the physical. I went to see Dr. Kopf for the "new patient" appointment, filled out some forms, and spoke with the doctor briefly. I informed him that I used to get panic attacks which started out as chest pain, but that they had resolved a long time ago. A few weeks later, I received a bill for an office visit, $160.00 of which I was responsible for the entire amount,… because Dr. Kopf was listed as out of network. When I called Anthem, they said that his paperwork wasn't yet complete, but that they would process them claim in network because the website listed him as in network. Then I found out that his office had billed my visit as "diagnostic; chest pain," which just shows that Dr. Kopf wasn't listening from day 1.After several calls and emails to his billing office, we got that resolved. I found out later that they billed the initial visit as a physical, even though it wasn't. During my initial visit, Dr. Kopf had ordered lab work to be performed at Queen of the Valley Medical Center, a local hospital. He circled Anemia and Hyperlipidemia instead of the actual tests he wanted performed. When Queen of the Valley then saw the order, they submitted a claim for the lab work as "diagnostic; anemia". When I called Anthem and found out what happened, I complained to Dr. Kopf and Queen of the Valley and had the claim resubmitted. They resubmitted it as "diagnostic; hyperlipidemia," another condition I do not have. I did have my physical in November, which was normal. However, the billing disaster that ensued was not. When his office submitted the bill, Anthem refused to pay it, because they had previously billed my account for a physical. They expect me to pay for the physical because they do not know how to properly code visits or send bills to one of the largest health insurance companies in the country. I have spent over 30 hours dealing with all of the errors of Dr. Kopf's office and his external billing service, MyPatientBill.com. I think Dr. Kopf and his staff have the lowest standards of professionalism I have ever seen in a medical doctor. I would recommend that anyone looking for a new doctor look elsewhere. I feel worse for having trusted him with my health, and that should speak volumes about his practice.

Wait time in the office is less than 5 min. Office staff is friendly and calls me by name. I feel in the nine months I have been a patient of Dr. Kopf's I have received excellent care. This includes telephone calls to my home as a follow-up. Diagnosis,explainations and or questions are answered in a manner that is easily understood. I have communicated with the office by telephone and email and find both satisfactory. If answers are needed beyond making an appointment this occurs before the end of office hours.

This office is extremely unprofessional. If you want more headaches and frustration then this is the place for you.
