Eric Andrew Lenehan, MD

On my first visit I thought Dr Lenehan was very informative and and caring to my issues. After surgery was decided to be the direction we would go, I had a final meeting with him, At that time, I was told he would go thru my left side to make a incision to insert a spacer in the L2 disk area and then thru my back to repair the L5 area. I would have two short rods and four screws to fix the area. After over a 9 hour surgery, I was told they found more to do and I ended up with two longer rods and 10 screws plus the other hardware to fix what he said they found. My question is why didn't he see that before with all the MRI and X-ray. I have had constant nerve pain in that area of my back ever since, like it is the worst sun burn. I have tried physical therapy, acupuncture, and i still go to a pain doctor to this day. I now take mutable drugs and use a tens device twice a day with little relief. Also my Humana Insurance seems to be charged with all kinds of charges for the PA in his… office for a lot of the spine work which brings up another question. Who did my surgery? By the way the PA has NO personality or caring for your pain!!!! I guess that's enough you can get the IDEA.

Dr. Lenehan upon my first visit was very kind and compassionate. He took the time to show me the results from my MRI as well as explain about surgery. I had several post-op follow up visits and he was always willing to listen to any questions I had about recovery and returning back to work. Though I'm still having issues with pain he had referred me over to another Dr. Thanks for everything. If in the future I should need you again I know where to come to. MChenault

I do not understand why people are bad mouthing Dr. Lenehan. He has been the greatest blessing to me with my health. I am a little person and I suffer from Spinal Stenosis. I first saw him at the ER and the ER wanted to me to go to surgery with staff not knowledge about my condition. Dr. Lenehan said that was not a good idea. He schedule me for an appt to get a better understanding of my spine condition and order another mri to see if any other parts of the spine were affected before having surgery. He wants to make sure he gets it done the first time! He was very helpful at explaining the procedure and making sure I was comfortable at what is going on. He seemed he really cared and I truly appreciate that!

He did my daughter's surgery. It was unsuccessful. She came into recovery room hollering in pain. They would not administer pain meds until Dr. Lennehan wrote the order. It took over an hour. The incision became infection after she was sent home. I called and sent pics of the incision. Finally they called in an antibiotic. He didn't want to see her back for post-op follow up for 2 months!!!!! Her scar looks horrible! She is still in intense pain.

Orders physical therapy and pain management while requesting no need to see me again. Never assessed my back. Touched my left leg and asked how my right leg felt. He had a plan mapped out prior to coming in the room to see me. This was 1st Visit. I had no issues with the staff only Dr Lenehan!

My first visit was the one and only visit I will have with Dr. Lenehan. I have never had a Dr. talk or treat me the way he did . I was a new patient and wanted to talk to him about my back issues and he informed me that we were only talking about the lower lumbar and if I had other issues I could make another appointment. He was so rude! He didn't ask me any questions and was not concerned with how I was he just looked at the MRI and told me keep seeing the other Dr. for the epidurals. He was 45 minutes late and was in the room with me a total of 3 minutes and turned and walked out. Rudest man I ever met!!!!!!!!!!!!! What happened to Dr.'s that are suppose to care about their patients?

He basically told me what was wrong without asking questions and had no desire to hear what I had to say. Before he asked if I had any further questions he shook my hand and headed out the door, only to let his nurse answer any additional questions. There was no follow-up to speak of. I would recommend patients request other ortho/neuro surgeons. To be frank, it was obvious that Eric wasn't in the top part of his med school class just on his knowledge and explanations of my situation. I would say he is a true testament to the phrase "What do you call a medical student that barely passes... a doctor".

Dr. Lenehan is such a caring and respectful physician. I was extremely surprised by the minimal wait time and professionalism of his staff. Both nurses that work with Dr. Lenehan were very sweet, professional and supportive. His nurse Kristine even called me several days after my visit to follow up on how I was doing. She didn't forget about me. It's rare to find both a physician and his support staff to be exceptionally informative, prompt and knowledgeable. Dr. Lenehan had my best interest at heart and I thank him for that. I wish I could give him more than just 5 stars. I highly recommend him to all my family and friends.
