Dr. Eric Mark Levander, MD

I've been seeing Dr Levander for several years, and I can honestly say he helps me tremendously. I've been to a number of therapists over the years, and while they were all fine people, until the last one referred me to Dr. Levander, I wasn't making much progress. He listens, observes and helps. Sometimes I push back when its uncomfortable to hear things, but they are things I need to hear.

Dr Levander has save my life

Constantly forgot to send medications to the pharmacy and would lie about it. I know this because I would call the pharmacy days after to see if medications were ready and they would have to call and leave a message with his to office to ask him to finally send the prescriptions. He always blamed the pharmacy for losing the script... this happened A good 3/5 times. Also REFUSED ME AS A PATIENT after I left DBT (therapy and group) after sharing how unhelpful and many times overly triggering to me. (this is also my second attempt at DBT and had nothing positive to say about it. Very unprofessional, uncaring as a psychiatrist who only cared about the FAT check you write at the end of the session (he cuts his appointments short to have time to make sure the payment is dealt with too). I began to very much dislike speaking to him at all. Never received worse psychiatry.

I have worked with far too many psychiatrists throughout the years and Dr. Levander saved my life. I am finally able to function and go about my life. I can’t thank him enough for where I am.

This guy is a real jerk and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. How he gets such a high rating on this website I have no idea. During my initial consultation he showed a complete lack of compassion, like he didn't even care and he even had the gall to personally insult me. I came to him at a time when I'd lost all hope and I walked out of his office exponentially more depressed than when I walked in, which is completely unacceptable. If you're worried about your mental health DO NOT see him!

Dr. Levander is a kind, patient, and very understanding Psychiatrist. I would recommend him to anyone seeking someone new. His compassion for his work and for his patients is very evident.

Dr. Levander took time to get to know my medical history and really understand the problems I was facing. He is wonderful!

Dr. Levander has stood steadfast and patiently at my side through some terrible times. Fortunately with his help I'm back to myself.

My sad struggle with trying to find myself help ended happily with Dr. Levander. He has been my doctor for at least 3 years. My experience has been refreshing. He is warm, sharing and never distant (which is an off putting mannerism many in the field seem to have to me). While he is an expert he makes his expertise accessible to me which is the most important skill I need from my docotr. Ive been to other bipolar experts in southern California in the past that failed me. I would recommend no other.
