Dr. Eric L Martin, MD

Very happy with the way he handled my surgery. Dr Martin did a whole knee replacement for me. He came in before surgery an check on me,at which time he prepared me as to what to expect. One day after surgery he came back into my room and explained what he had done. He reassured me that if there was anything I need I should just give him a call. The doctor and staff were amazing. Never once was I told to wait. I am so happy that I was able to have my surgery I am also happy that I found this doctor and will use him. Really nice guy, however if you’re looking for someone to only tell you what you want to hear,then this may not be your man. I was looking for experience, and a solid surgeons now I know without a doubt that Dr. Martin is my forever doctor

Hip surgery experience was rated A. I am 74 and a year later, still no pain and all activities resumed after three months. An excellent experience with an excellent surgeon.

I guess I did not get the answer I was expecting to hear, but I went in, in excruciating pain from a fall and could barely put weight on my left leg. It even hurt when sitting. I was told to go to physical therapy. OK, glad there were no broken bones, but I just think that when doctors do not have the answers themselves, the patient gets dismissed to "physical therapy." Been, there, done that.

Went to see him twice. Had no compassion, did not care about patient, incompetent analysis of MRI and basically disregarded all pertinent medical findings. Run dont walk away from this doctor!

I love the knowledge and professionalism of Dr Martin. He diagnosed my problems correctly and my hip replacement surgery went wonderful. My follow up care was with Dr. Dave and Dr Martin. If you want a proper diagnosis, these two are great! They explained everything to me in terms I understood. I would recommend them to anyone.

The office staff for Dr. Martin is the WORST I have ever encountered. I went to this Dr the first time in Feb and had to have Knee surgery. From the 2nd visit to his office to date they have made error after error. When you call there they never return your calls. I needed disability paperwork and left over 6 messages for someone to get back to me and only after I asked the receptionist to get that person was I able to speak with them. They lost my x-ray after the first visit. When trying to schedule surgery I had to call over 3 times before the scheduler called me back. They completed disability paperwork incorrectly and I had to drive a hour to the office to have them correct it. Needed copies of my medical record e-mailed to me to forward to disability company and they had spelled my name wrong in my e-mail address and it took me over 6 phone calls again to reach the person I needed to speak with. She said she would re-send and it did not come. I will have to call again. … Lastly, my surgery was at St. Luke's in Newburgh which is an hour from my home. The pre-op testing took over 4 hours. I understand this is not in the control of the Dr office but they should tell you ahead of time. I have had many surgeries over the years and pre-op is never that long. I have no option of Dr. Martin except that you see him once before surgery and that's about it. I have not seen him again since and I have been back to the office twice. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this facility in the future.

Do your homework thoroughly. Very bad experience.

had used this practice before but dr. I had seen was called away for surgery so I saw dr. martin very matter of fact not compassionate ,did not seem to want to take the time to explain procedure or what I could expect. you need knee replacement end of subject. spoke to me from across the room and did not seem to care that this was a big deal to me and said after cortisone injection follow up. I can't believe it helped you really need replacement think I will be finding another dr.

Dr. Martin is the only doctor who would do my knee replacements when the others said I would never find anyone to do them. I am so happy to have had the operations, if I had not I would not be walking today . Thank you so much Doctor Martin.
