Summary
Dr. Martin trained in England in Internal Medicine and Cardiology before completing a residency in Radiology. He moved the the United States in 1974 as a Fellow in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology and became Director of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in 1979. He left to join Roosevelt Hospital in 2000 and to work with Dr. George Todd to establish a program for the endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms.
He was President of the Society of Interventional Radiology from 1990-91 and has been awarded that Society's Gold Medal. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is the author of one hundred papers and seventeen book chapters and has held numerous grants. His primary interest is vascular disease.
