Dr. Eric Nager

Dr Nager practiced as a Board Certified Emergency Physician at multiple hospitals and thoroughly enjoyed the high acuity of illness and being able to help very sick patients. As time went on, it became apparent that much of what he had been taught in medical school and residency was a reactionary approach towards illness. In other words, he was treating the symptoms, as opposed to the root cause of the problem. This was sick care, not wellness care, and there was little to no pro-active approaches to preventing disease. Dr. Nager felt that there had to be a better solution. He researched and explored every method and treatment that promised positive results—lifestyle changes, nutrition, supplements, hormones, IV therapy, and regenerative medicine therapy. Dr. Nager’s journey led him to embrace functional medicine—an evidence-based approach that considers the doctor/patient relationship a partnership, focuses on the whole person, and uses an array of scientific disciplines to heal …illness and disease and help people regain and maintain optimal health. To further this goal, Dr. Nager enrolled in the American Academy for Anti-Aging Medicine’s fellowship program in Anti-Aging, Metabolic and Functional Medicine. He went on to become Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. In addition to Functional Medicine, Dr Nager has a strong passion for Regenerative Medicine. This is the practice of using the newest technology to allow the body to heal itself. One such way is with Platelet Rich Plasma(PRP) Therapy. This can be used to achieve many goals. The first is to perform musculoskeletal injections into joints under Ultrasound guidance. This can be used to treat osteoarthritis, sports injuries and chronic pain from injury.
