Dr. Eric James Sigler I, MD

Dr. Sigler is very knowledgeable and helpful. My mom was very nervous about her macular degeneration and he explained everything in easy to understand terms. He spends the time with her to explain the pictures he took and what to expect. He also explains everything to me. We never feel rushed and feel very confident he has the best interests of his patients in mind all the time. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone who needs a retina specialist.

I was very nervous for my appointment as my optometrist thought he saw something wrong with my retinas. Dr. Siegel was very friendly and explained everything clearly. He explained clearly what my optometrist was concerned with and calmed me down a lot. He was also thorough without making me wait long either.

My mom sees Dr. Sigler about her Macular Degeneration and she loves him. She says he's capable, kind, professional and very considerate. Needless to say, she's terrified when she needs to go in for an appointment and he sets her ease.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sigler. He was able to help my mother when no other doctor could. I recommend him with the utmost gratitude and respect, and I would encourage anyone who needs his specialty to go to him.

Well staffed office. I arrived early and only waited about 10 minutes before I was seen. Dr. Sigler was extremely through and explained everything to me. I would recommend him to anyone.

I really am shocked by the prior negative review for Dr. Sigler. I've been seeing him for 2 years because of Macular Degeneration. He has helped me so much. I find him to be very caring and helpful. When I was referred to him I had him checked out by a professor at Columbia. They knew of him there. So I know that he knows what he's doing. The reality is that these days, many people are seeking retina treatment and he has to see many many people on a daily basis.

He was nice enough for the two words I could get in. Other than saying hello and good bye to him i wasnt able to get a single word in. He asked questions about my medical history but didnt bother to wait for a response, just kept talking and answered the questions for himself. He didn't stick around long enough to ask him questions or clarifications. Overall it felt as though I was just seen so that he could Bill for the appointment. He seems medically competent but I would not see him again considering the entire time I saw him was less than 10 minutes and I waited over an hour to be disregarded and ignored during my appointment with him. While he clearly doesn't agree my time is equally as valuable as his and I will not recommend him to any other people. The staff and facilities were also subpar in particular the technician that measured my vision on a glared monitor, at an improper angle, in an open door examining room. The imaging technician I saw was thorough and knowledgeable. Of… the entire experience she was the only positive aspect of the office and I was impressed with how quickly she took my scans and also reviewed them before sending me in to see the doctor allowing her to catch a scan that was obscured and repeat it before I saw the doctor and would need to wait again.

Dr. Sigler is amazing. He helped me understand my condition by explaining it in a way that I could understand. He makes me feel important, which is very unusual. I highly recommend. him.
