Dr. Eric Fox Silman, MD

Very unprofessional in his response to nurse’s concerns. Used profanity and other unprofessional language when talking about an unresponsive patient. Sad that we look to ER providers for help and this is how they talk about patients.

Dr Silman was amazing with my Mom. He listened to her and was kind, funny and very personable. My Mom is 86 and he was so sweet with her as well as very polite and friendly to me. His diagnosis hit the nail on the head and I so appreciate his expertise and compassion. Fantastic Dr!

Saw Dr Silman at the Novant ER. He has restored my faith in Novant. I had previously had a horrible experience at the hospital and had extreme anxiety having to be in the ER there. His manner and his care instantly calmed my nerves and put me at ease. The paper work when I was released didn’t have the instructions for after care so I called and left a message with the nurse. He personally called me back within an hour and patiently went over all instructions while I wrote them down and let me know to call him back if I had any issues or further questions. He went above and beyond. I could not have ended up in better hands.

Dr Silman was rude my entire visit. He did not take the time to gather information. He assumed his own findings and while I was sitting in the hall ( for three hours), he stated a lie in front of all staff and patients and rudely said I would do what he told me even though his information was inaccurate which could have been proven if he had actually done his job and checked my urine instead of letting it sit there for 3 hours!!! Rude, disrespectful, and inaccurate described this MD.

Broke law. Witnessed nurses battering patient and did nothing. Broke many laws

My 2yr old son was seen by this Dr about 2 days ago and was misdiagnosed severely,he said all my son had was a viral cold or something just congested my son had a high fever over 100 we had to make him order a chest x-ray and he gave him a steroid which he threw up he didn't show any concerns and rushed us to discharge after giving the chest x-ray told us everything was ok,well it wasn't I took my son to the Scott's hill ER about 36hours later he was seen by Dr Moulton and his staff just looking at him he knew my son was sick immediately ordered a chest x-ray and got him and my 6month old the proper medicine for their fevers took his time and was concerned the X-ray showed my son had pneumonia of the Left lobe and quickly handled it well prescribing an antibiotic to take Dr Silman prescribed nothing and missed the pneumonia he was terrible all visit he failed my son badly and will be reported thank you Dr Moulton and staff
