Dr. Eric Charles Troyer, MD

Dr. Troyer is the best DR. ever! This is not your normal Drs office. These are real people who really care! I would have never gotten through my addiction on my own. I tried many different programs and they were all crap. Dr. Troyer is real. My life is so much better now!

I have been a patient of Dr. Troyer for several months. He is an outstanding medical professional and individual. Dr. Troyer is compassionate, understanding, and knowledgeable on every medical aspect, substance abuse treatment abd weight gain prevention. His staff is caring, empathetic and passionate about what they do. My wife and 2 month old daughter have accompanied me to some of my appointments, as well as my mother and they have commented on how friendly & respectable each person who works at Troyer Medical is. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Troyer and his staff and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a doctor with such great credentials, who really cares about his job and patients.

Absolutely the worse doctor on the planet! My mom and sister are patients there and I hate everything about this doctor (if that’s what he wants to call himself)! I will do everything in my power to make sure this piece of crap is taken down and discredited as a physician. My mother is on disability and makes her come in weekly to prescribe her one weeks worth of medicine and charges her a $10 co-pay each week knowing she is on a limited income. I have finally convieneced my mom to go to someone else. My sister is also a patient there and has called multiple times to have her birth control refilled and Troyer (I refuse to call him a doctor) refuses to refill it unless she comes in and pays money to see him. It’s birth control for crying out loud! I hate this man and he will pay for what he is doing!!!!

I found out about Dr. Troyer through someone I wish I had never met same goes for the doctor. I actually struggled with chronic pain myself before meeting Dr. Troyer so at first it was a relief that he wasn't judgmental about needing pain medication. I only went to him for 3 months and he never really had too much to say about my condition or what could be causing the pain. He did have a copy of an MRI but I question whether he really knew how to read it. I do understand a doctor not wanting to fill medication too early but he did have a practice of wanting to set your appointment up on the exact day that the refill was due which could cause problems in the event of inclement weather or in the event someone in the family became too sick or an emergency. It was just my luck that my appointment one time was set on a Friday which was the exact date that my medication was due and inclement weather came in so the office closed early that day making it so that I was not able to come in to… get my medication plus I was completely out of the medicine at the time. I think that is why some doctors do allow a few days to work with cause of those type the things happening but Troyer didn't seem to plan ahead. I was left going to the ER over the weekend even though I knew that he did not want anyone getting medicine from another source but I had no choice in the matter. I was given medicine through the IV so that helped me through most of the weekend but I had a written prescription which I was afraid to fill because I was afraid I would get discharged. When Monday came and I told them about my prescription I had to take that written prescription all the way down to the office to let him look at it before I could even get it filled plus I was in terrible pain at the time. I was allowed to get it filled but that should have let him know that I was being truthful and not trying to hide anything from him. It did not take but a few more days before I was able to see him and then I asked him about going to see a neurologist or neurosurgeon which he said he would have that setup. Weeks went by and no one called me about setting this appointment up. I kept getting promised that I would get a call back but I never did. That was pretty much how things went with his office is that you'd leave a message but no one would ever call back and they would get aggravated if you called them anymore after leaving one message even though they failed to return your message in the first place. To make a long story short, I was discharged for no reason at all. I was just sent a letter in the mail one day stating that he would not be able to care for me any longer and it did not make any sense to me at all. I never failed a urine test I got medicine from another doctor except that one time in the emergency room which I told him about but I did tell him about some breakthrough pain one time in which he prescribed me a medicine which really tore up my stomach after I told him that I had ulcers. That told me right there that he failed to listen because this medicine that he prescribed me was basically an ibuprofen based product. They never did set me up for the neurosurgeon like they said they would and just did not seem to care about my treatment because I was actually wanting to do more than just get pain medicine even though it helped but I wanted to find out what was causing it plus maybe put it an end to getting pain medicine for the rest of my life especially with the games that most doctors play when it comes to pain medicine. I did decide to take a trip down to the office to get my medical records in which they even charged me for that even after I only went for 3 months but I was wanting to know what was the reason I was being discharged. I know the staff seemed to be incredibly rude especially a young girl that worked up front scheduling the appointments because she had absolutely no people skills. I had to end up asking some nurse that I had never seen before in there who was only temporary to go ask him what was the problem and why was I being discharged. I should not even had to do that because he should have been man enough to address that issue in the letter or by phone. Basically, it was all just a bunch of lies like me calling late at night or calling too much or getting my medicine filled to early which I know that was a lie because that wasn't even possible to do with him even if I had wanted to which I did not. I explained to the nurse that this was all fabrication but he was not man enough to face me even when he walked in the room one time looking for her and I was just sitting there but he did not have the cahonies to talk to me face to face. I found out later there were a lot of complaints on him and his practices so now I am moving on hoping to find something or someone much better than he ever was as a doctor if that's what you want to call him. I will never forget how his discharge of me left me in withdrawals for a whole month and some of these doctors like him need to go through this same type of withdrawal for much longer than a month then maybe they might think twice before they decide to treat patients poorly like a lot of them like to do while they are getting rich for nothing. Beware of this one because he will leave you high and dry without a rope to hang onto plus he could care less about your pain in the end.

First of all, let me say that of all the Doctors we ever went to, which was alot of them, trying to find the reason for my Son's medical issues, he was the only one who figured out the diagnosis. We had been to the best of the best in the biggest hospitals with the biggest Top Docs, and not one of them had a clue. You can write what you want but I will not listen to you say he is about giving too much medicine. HE SAVED MY SON'S LIFE !!!! And he only had Doxycline. All Doctors now ask about if you are taking pain meds because the others put them on it like candy. Thank you, Dr. Troyer. Don't worry, God knows the truth and the truth will prevail.

The staff is rude most of the time. Unless you pay Cash, you are treated differently. He doesn't listen to you as a new patient. Doesn't care that he gets information from other specialist that you are going to. If you value your health then you will stay away. If you can afford to pay cash, then you might be okay and be able to work with this quack. Until the Medical Board takes his licenses.

I attended two appts with dr troyer. I was very disappointed with the care I received. From what I observed I felt I was in a pill mill. Before I was seen by the doctor I had to give an observed urine sample with two "nurses" watching me. I was also asked if I was there to be prescribed pain medicine and when I answered no I was moved to a different exam room. I was trying to find a good primary care doctor that would responsibly manage my care. I have type 2 diabetes along with a couple other health issues and was hoping to find a good doctor. I was very disappointed. I'm surprised that this doctor isn't investigated.

i have been seeing dr. troyer for ten years and has always listened and understood he has found things lots of other dr.,s couldnt find and he has never once written any more meds than i needed if anything not enough and i would have to go back in and eexplain the meds werentworking which gives him time to get tests back before he will right anymore he is an excellent dr and has been for the last 10 yrs

Dr.Eric Troyer over medicates his patients. I have three family members that have been seen by him and instead of doing tests, etc. he gave them strong meds. Which, I find quite disturbing..I feel that he wants to make a fast buck by giving people what they ask for and move on.Based on other individuals that i have spoken to they agreed.This is not a caring doctor in my opinion! This is what's wrong with the world today!!!Also, his assistant (female) ask to many personal questions about other patients, i find this to be a problem, not professional at all! Does this Dr. and his staff know there are privacy acts and this is against the law!

My daughter was seen in this office and the care was outstanding!!!!!!!
