I went to the Tripler ER with a painful nose abscess. I was on antibiotics for a couple days but the pain was intense. First, the entire ER staff at Tripler were great! They were highly organized, attentive & professional. Awesome care & service! The ER doctor checked me out & referred me to a “specialist” to possibly drain the abscess. Dr Keith Volner & Dr Eric Wirtz from Tripler’s ENT clinic both examined me. After a detailed discussion and explaining the nose abscess drainage procedure which is quite uncomfortable, they recommended I continue with the antibiotics for a couples more days & return to the Tripler ENT clinic for a follow up visit. That turned out to be excellent advice. The meds did in fact work well on my nose & my follow up visit with them also went well. Moreover, I was lucky to dodge that “nose job” procedure following their expert advice! Thanks doc(s)!!
