Dr. Eric Alan Wurst, MD

Dr. Wurst comes by his name honestly...Worst Dr. I EVER had. He was Taking Dr. Stone's patients during Stone's vacation. What a nightmare! Also, the Worst Hospital. Staff very slow and unkind. Never, never, again, would I go to this Hospital. Came to emergency entrance with heart failure, but was told no rolling beds are allowed, then dragged out of my car by Orderly, srcapping both ankles, while husband was pleading to hurry...which they did not . My husband had to hold me up in a wheel chair, while this idiot tried to get insurance info. Then I passed out and my husband became vocal and finally, 12 min. Later was taken into patient care. My husband was furious and it only escalated into more horror. They were rude, painful and certainly unprofessional...will NEVER return!!!!

These days it seems very hard to get a Doctor to actually stop, talk and listen to you. While I understand that Doctors can run late while tending to there patients I do expect that when it is my turn to speak to the Doctor he listens. Dr. Wurst is only an ok Doctor. I wiated over 40 minutes to see him which I would not mind if when it were my turn he would actually stop listen and speak to me regarding the reason I was there. I went in for a Thyroid problem. He brushed me off rather quickly and told me he was going to get some precscriptions for blood work and he would be right back. He did not return so I had to hunt him down to ask him the questions I wanted. He is a little strange in the fact that he talks to you with his eyes closed but again I could overlook these issues if he actually took time to treat each patient.

The staff are bad and the doctors assitant is worst. They do not care about there customers and make you feel like they are doing you a favor to let you have a time slot. Don't even think about getting a call back or help when you need it. They just want you to go some where else.

Have had Dr.Wurst for 6 years and he's always been great with both my husband and I and he's fantastic with my 6 year old and 9 month old daughters. There have been times Dr. Wurst was up to an hour behind on appointments because of being held up at the hospital on his morning rounds or because of having unexpectedly long consults with patients. While sometimes frustrating he's so good with the family that he's worth the wait time.

Overall it is difficult to get an appt that is convenient for you and then when you rearrange your schedule to get an "inconvenient" appt, you wait an hour outside and then another 30 minutes in the examining room until you see the Dr. At that point you look at your watch and realize it is NOW the original time you wanted to make an appt for but was unavailable. Gee, guess I didn't have to leave work 2 hours early! Dr. Wurst has this rehearsed script that he says EVERY SINGLE TIME to BOTH KIDS. He tries to be humorous with the kids, but it comes off as just weird.When my 2 year old broke his arm, Dr. Wurst's office waited 3 days to call me back with the Xray results and then, of course, said I needed to IMMEDIATELY come in for a cast, but...wait, they didn't have availability. So they sent me to another specialist 45 minutes away.Very frustrating!

In this office the front office staff are not very friendly I had to wait way too long and the Doctor rushed me out very quickly. Had to call the manager a few times for my results and she made up all kinds of excuses for not having my paperwork ready. Don't think I will ever go there again!!

I have been Dr Wurst's patient 5 years and he is always thorough and a superb diagnostician. He is funny and caring. In fact, his diagnosis actually saved my life!

I cannot recommend this doctor enough! Dr. Wurst is really caring and able to diagnose problems quickly. He takes care of our entire family.

Dr.Wurst is by far the worst doctor I have ever come across. First off he's weird. He talks to you with his eyes practically closed and he tries to sing kids songs to his patients because he can't really communicate to them other wise. I had an appointment with him because my daughter was really sick. He knew her history of recurrent pneumonias but diagnosed her with a respiratory infection. Dr.Wurst told me not to be alarmed if she spiked a fever of 104 -105 which I found odd. I ended up having to rush her to the er later that day. She had a fever of 105 and if I waited longer she could have had seizers. She ended up having a horrible pneumonia in which she had to be hospitalized for in a special children's hospital. She was hospitalized for a week. Dr. Wurst was wrong and didn't do his job right. I took my daughter to him thinking I could trust him but instead I ended up with a doctor who didn't know what he was doing. Please be aware of Dr. Wusrt!
