Dr. Erica Edell Bernfeld, MD

I had some "spots" I was seeing. Dr. Bernfeld came in a weekend to look at me. Not many doctors would do that. Dr. Bernfeld goes out of her way to be helpful.

Dr. Bernfeld recently helped me yet again. I was considering surgery and other eye docs suggested I do it. But Dr. Bernfeld told me about the risks and cautioned me. It's rare to find a surgeon who doesn't recommend surgery all of the time. But I'm lucky she cared more about me and told me both sides of the story.

I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Bernfeld. Whether a routine issue or complex surgery, she has really helped me over the years. I highly recommend her.

You are very lucky when you find doctors like Dr Bernfeld. My eye problems include a variety of conditions. I ask a lot of questions and Dr. Bernfeld does not hesitate to discuss the options in detail and to make sure I understand. Dr. Bernfeld is empathetic, caring and friendly. During the Covid-19 period she has gone out of her way to deal with my problems. When I post questions on the portal, the inquiries are handled promptly either by her COA Beth Binder or a call from Dr. Bernfeld herself.

I've seen Dr. Bernfeld several times after trying a few other eye doctors over the years. She take the time to listen and properly diagnose the problem. She then talks through the options. My eye issues have gotten better due to seeing this doc. I've been very satisfied with my experiences with Dr. Bernfeld.

As I patient I always ask questions in order to fully understand what I’m diagnosed with and how to proceed with treatment. I felt very uncomfortable asking questions because of her tone and how she’d respond. She’s also often cut me off which I thought was unprofessional. I have never felt this way after any doctors appointment and will no longer be using this practice.

I have seen Dr. Bernfeld several times now. Each time, she has been thorough and helpful. She is a great listener who can quickly get to the root of any issue. Highly recommended.

Dr. Bernfeld recently moved to Katzen's Bel Air office. Had some issues so went in to see her. She did a great job explaining the problem, gave me a prescription, and everything worked out great.

Dr. Erica Bernfeld (apparently used to be Dr. Edell) was excellent. I came in with blurry vision and Dr. Bernfeld explained the problem and helped me get better. I will definitely recommend her.

Dr. Erica Edell (now Dr. Erica Bernfeld) was the second eye doc I saw for my problem. She not only diagnosed it correctly, I was better within days! She followed up with me several times to make sure things continued to improve. Great doctor.
